Places to go to see the latest releases
You can tell us more about Redditch.
Cinemas
- seats are to small for my ass
- I never go to the Redditch cinema, after all who the hell wants to see the same people you've tried to avoid all day and then sit next to 'em for 90 minutes or more? Nah, go to Rubery (and you can park for free!)
- Redditch cinema sucks, the staff are all inbred, totally unhelpful, my best advice is drive to Rubery for a real cinema experience
- Not yet but there will be in March
- Apollo Cinemas Ltd Announces Plans for a Seven Screen Cinema at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre Due to Open in November 2006
- we have no cinema nearest cinema is in worcester or go on the train to new street for the Odeon.
- Rubery?
- rubery ucc cinema is the best i always go there. whether your lookin to see a good film meet up with mates or get a bit of back row action rubery is top of the list.
- Why do people have to travel all the way to Rubery to watch a film?
Chicago Rock was better off as a cinema for people in Redditch.
- Did have, now Chigago Rock
- CLOSED,though i did get free tickets cos me mom was mates with Pete the old manager.
- Old one was pretty crap, but could still attend to watch action movies, if u didn't mind putting up with a lot of noise frm the Asian massive members on the back seats.
Now Brum iz best And showz bollywood movies, build summit like that in Redditch as well.
- There was a cinema before it became Chi-town the windy city (get it?) Now its Brum or Solihull
- Rubry its reli gud u can go on train n i wud travel there with me m8s 2 watch a film. One at five ways in brum u can also catch a train (have 2 walk a bit) but as long as ya no ya way itll b alright!!! 1 in stratford 'the picture house' it aint very gud cuz it dnt look like a cinema n it aint v big but i still got there sumtimes!
- the one in rubry
- closed down and is now a bar you have to travel in car to get to nearest one
- The old Cinema has finally been replenished and has opened as a 'Chicago Rock Cafe'.
- Cinema less. When I was about 10 Monday nights were £1 at teh Redditch cinema dn the queue used to go right down Unicorn Hill to the train station. Now everyone gets on the dual acrriageway out of there to Rubery or Solihull...
- No way, this is a joke, there is not ONE single cinema. There used to be one pretty good, albeit very small one, but no more. I'd go to Rubery or Brum or Solihull, where all the big complexes are.
- yeah cinemas travel to brum.
- There is no cinema however a fifteen minute drive will get you to one in Rubery. There is now no bowling alley, this was closed down at the end of last year (2000). There is some massive development planned for the Abbey Stadium which will herald a snow dome amongst other things, however, this is not due to be completed until 2004 - not sure they have even started yet.
- cinemas, bowling, quasar? yes Redditch have had them all and they have all closed down. No wonder we have the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the country, theres nothing else to do.
- Bring it back!
- did have one which my grandfather happily reminises over but the last time i went to it it was gum filled chairs and bad popcorn, so they closed it. Now unless you have a car the phrase "VIDEO" comes to mind, it's a long walk or a long wait you choose
- Nearest decent place is in Solihull (Shirley).
- Well we *did* have a cinema until they closed it...
- No cinema at present, the dump that passed as a cinema was closed town a couple of years ago. Still have not got round to knocking it down to build it's replacement. Some kind of historicl find apparently.
- No Cinema, the old one closed down because theres a brand spanking new Virgin Cinema complex in Rubery, about 15 minute drive down the Bromsgrove Highway, whuich is really quality inside. We have a super bowl next to the big Tesco's, but it has a load of 13 year old hanging outside of it, drinking cider.
- The is magabowl out side of town. Out towards the woodrow district, there is also a McDonalds drive trough there.
- None, There should be one opening on church hill once they pull the old one down. Planning permision has been applied for.
