Places to find public entertainment

You can tell us more about Redditch.

Buskers, Street Entertainers
  • Bum who pretends to shoot people with his finger, man who made love to pavements
  • if you go into Redditch library you'll see a fair selection of local crackpots, crackheads and those who've just plain cracked up.
  • FLAKEY! the old old bloke who lives in churchhill somewhere, everyday catchs the bus to stand outside HSBC Bank, and around WHSmiths sometimes, moves slow, talks to people telling them he's rich and begs? lol
  • By the Hightrees Close bus stop (by Tesco) there are usually two girls one with a guitar... (that's not me and my mate) (HONEST!) (Ahem..)
  • all the piss heads
  • some bloke asked me 3 times if i'd ever had a road accident being a skateboarder the other day...
  • The guy that stands outside Sanity (on the left - with the bold head) is kinda funny... He must get bored! But he has been standing there as long as I can remember!
  • errmm loads charity shops one goin down 2 the bus station
  • The god-like Frank who was Redditch's very own John Peel in the heady 80's at The Valley Club
  • Beven, ul find him in the new bus station with his rockports nd his carling.dont mess.
  • There was that geezer who stood around outside Our price with the skin on his head that looked a bit like a cadburys flake and would spend all day rocking backwards and forwards and trying to talk to security guards.
  • giddy ( the trmp in the underpass by palace theata )
  • bunch ofdossers..get a job
  • the guy who has definately got a house and a mobile
  • the poor man that sits outside the old works! bless. and that bloody woman that stands outside early learning selling the big issue wiv a can of lager in her bloody hand, i mean come on!!!!
  • oh please get sum talent then i will give you sum money quite happily
  • plenty, the ones worth mentioning though are the beggar outside the works who has a mobile phone and a house, the big issue seller who also does a fine trade in selling weed and the blind geezer who sings badly.
  • The fluffy brown dog outside smiths is Called Sheila and her owner is Bill, yes he does play the same tune but when my dog died he cheered me up when no one else knew what to say.
  • Most of them we get tend to hang in the underpass near the Town Hall and Barclays. Another fave spot is next door to the Library on the way through to the market by WHSmiths. Most generally are pants.
  • Just next to the Works pub is 'the harmonica man' who plays the same tune over and over again. He has a lovely cuddly brown dog, which probably has Rabies (or bad aids).
  • You can almost certainly find them hunched up outside the works pub begging for money with their dogs which you know they get "friendly" with ummm nice!!! But don't be fouled and feel sorry for them 'cas you'll soon see 'um whip out their mobile phones.
  • There are some. I cannot specify as I tend to ignore them. One definetely outside Smiths and another occasionally in the Tunnel next to the market.
  • Aften found outside the town library, and under the underpass by Barclays Bank.
