The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- STOP trash talking Redditch, I have lived here 12 years, I love it! It's a nice place, especially headless cross! Hardly any crime, so I don't know what u guys are on!
- Redditch is perhaps the trampiest place between Liverpool and...............
Actually, Redditch is as trampy as it gets - like the worst of Glasgow, Liverpool or Newcastle dropped into lovely surroundings.
They don't let you settle there unless you have a tattoo on your throat, are morbidly obese or have less than half of your teeth.
Go anywhere else. Jump under a train. Anything is an improvement on that constellation of sink estates.
- I used to work in Redditch and I can confirm that the place is conclusive proof that when the Vikings invaded Britain, they stopped off in the midlands and cross bred with cattle.
- Redditch was a fantastice town till they built the wretched New Town. Then the worst elements of Birmingham here and the results can be seen in Churchill, Winyates, Woodrow etc... Redditch is not all bad, it is surrounded by some lovely countryside but other than that it hasn't much too offer these days. If you want to see the real Redditch of old, look at some of the history books of our town. It was a fantastic town ruined by the overspill.
- There does seem to be something sinister and almost 'evil' hanging over redditch and permeating all those who live here. I bet you there is an above average number of people here on anti-depressants (me included). Hubby and I will not be staying here that much longer as we think the town is bad for your health. If anyone knows a 'supernatural history' of why the town is like it is please print it here. There are most definately a lot of chins dragging along the floor in Redditch (as well as knuckles.)
- the town is full of under aged drunk yobs, hoodies and chavs. there is a stupid population of single pregnant women, many of whom are young teenagers, who at some point decided having a baby was a good way of getting a flat off the council.
the center is drab and has way too many phone shops and little of anything else.
do not come here unless you have too!!!!

- So, so, so glad I moved out. The place is so insular, you can't fart without someone saying you shit your pants. Get out now before its too late for you.
- i am a youth member of the large and prosperous and happy asian community in Redditch. All of the members of our community reside within the central redditch areas. There is a somewhat dfferent lifestyle lived in Redditch by our community and in the central areas in general. i saw your site and thought it be important to add the insight of Redditch from the ethnic minority point of view. i have not tried to cause any disrespect to any body in my information.
- Redditch is the best and worst place on earth, in some respects the people make it a great place... but there are a few that spoil it ... But then I guess it like that in every town...
- London is a shithole. It's still better than redditch. If I couldn't drive and had to stay in redditch i would probably have committed suicide. London is full of cockneys but i would still rather have soft southern cockney fairies than redditch pikey townies and pikey towny pubs. Mind you, I'd rather have redditch than Skegness
- for camping, wire hill woods or the fields round the back of redditch golf course. not slap bang in the middle of morton stanley
- Go to WWW.INLINEWALKING.COM,Loosely based on skating we have one of everything there,A few board, some bike, some are in real bands,we are all stupid and we all enjoy a cup of tea(a cocktail of double whisky, double vodka and a drip of cola-it makes you go blind but you don't care after a couple)
- im glad i dont live there now cause i really feel that there is something very depressing hanging over the place. I wish i could get my friends out too then they would see it.
- I lived in Headless Cross for a while 'roundabout '95 perhaps and there was a girl who worked in the Stars Newsagent who was absolutely gorgeous, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. I think she liked me too but of course she was very nice and would have been pleasant to everyone but I always regretted not asking her on a date. I moved back to Scotland after about 8 months and have only been back a couple of times since. I can still picture her and hope she is very happy.
- Redditch is truly a wonderful place. The only think that spoilt it was the importation of all the countrys idiot low life. Now the low life is even lower due to them all being inbred. Oohhhh what a disgrace.
- They've built 100s of really big, expensive houses in Redditch and what I can't understand is why would these people choose to live there? As a town it has nothing to offer, and it lets down its residents shockingly in not attracting new leisure and shopping facilities. The transport is dire (unless you want to get from one council estate to the next)
Apparently the new Debenhams will be its saviour - but to be honest it will still be one of the scummiest, most depressing towns on earth. I lived there for 14 years - I could never go back though.
- I lived in redditch for 22 years of my life and have finally escaped and have been happily been living in the big smoke for 6 years(Birmingham). I occasionally go back to Redditch just to remind me that I am now no longer part of that depressing, strange and simple looking people that makes up Redditch. I am Free!
- no matter what people say about redditch, i think that its ok, i've lived here for most of my life and wouldnt change anything. yes, things happen, like stabbings and graffiti and vandalism but that happens everywhere so please dont slag redditch off unless you have been here for as long as i have!!!
- Redditch really is the worst place to live in the world, even refugees have leaft Redditch fearing for their lifes. Please note my advice and don't come here.
- Was designated as a new town in '63 ( I think )
Started remodeling it in '67
Promptly demolished the town centre including the old High Street
To replace it with Kingfisher Centre and its palm trees and pushchairs
The Palms tree keep dying and have to be replaced with new ones from Spain
- The Council is whinging about a few redundancies (in light of the recent Rover announcement), could this be the same council that have just sent out confidential information to the wrong people? Need I say it is Labour controlled? Explanation:- It is an administrive error. Has Redditch got more than it's fair share of irresponsible dog owners, judging by the mess on every possible path I would say Yes! When it snows there is a really good hill to go sledging on in Oakenshaw, between the estate and where the community centre is. Although it gets really busy. I've left now but any snow fall meant St Augustines High School would shut - No such luck when I went to St. Bedes. DO NOT WALK THROUGH WOODROW IF YOU ARE NOT A BLACKBELT AT SOME FORM OF MARTIAL ARTS. PATCH LANE ONLY REQUIRES A GREEN BELT. A popular past time in Redditch is moaning, especially about the Town, as you may already have guessed. It's not all bad, you can always move away when you grow up!
- Whoever decribed the Kingfisher Shopping Centre as "All palm trees and push-chairs" got it smack on.
- Redditch has a population of nearly 100,000 people - but hardly anyone has heard about it!
