The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- The old Bartles Factory has become home to Redruth-based charity "Action Water". For those of you not familiar with the name (after all, we've only been going for 17 years!!) we refurbish water tankers for the developing world. We often supply them to the Department for International Development and large aid organisations. We've helped between 1.75 and 2 million people - not bad for a small org. run by 2 people. So, something worthwhile is happening in Redruth and funds would certainly be welcome! We've got a branch in India as well, running water and sanitation projects. Surprising what you can find going on behind the scenes at Redruth! You can see the workshop at our website at www.actionwater.org.uk if you're interested.
- We stopped in Redruth once, circa 1986, but it was closed for the season
- Carn Marth is one of the best places in the world. If you go there try and find the lovely great stone up there. Aphex Twin wrote a song about that place. It's truely beautiful.
