The Best Things in Reigate, Surrey*
If you're around, be sure to check these things out
You can tell us more about Reigate.
The Best Things
- middle class suburban town that does actually offer quite a lot if you have deep pockets
- The fact that Reigate is still renowned for being an upmarket, expensive town. The people are well spoken and the high street is still very boutiquiey as apposed to being full of nexts and new looks.
- Reigate over all is a nice place to live go out. People are friendly. The Priory park is a must at any time or weather.
- The kebab house in London Road.
- Far enough away from the shitholes of Redhill and Dorking!!!! Far better class of people live here. Redhill and Dorking are full of kevins, sharons and pikies..
- reigate school and the priory and mixzed up roads like lesbourne road
- i don't live there any more
- Reigate is a pretty town with a relaxed atmosphere where you can drink and eat all evening with friends. It's got a great selection of restaurants and friendly pubs without having the seedy nightlife.
There are some great walks: a huge park just off Bell Street, and behind Boots a path takes you up to (sort of) castle ruins and picturesque garden
- Its A nice place. Especially compared to larger towns and cities. Like Heaven in comparison to redhill
- the chineese resaurant/ take away opposite the old priory cafe and toy shop, Wok Inn.
the old town hall, great for trials riding.
there are very few god-damn shazzers and KEVS. burn them. burn them now
- Great commuter links
- Lots of pubs to crawl round!
- It's nice and quiet, on an average day u can chill out in the pub without getting into a braul!! they are nice people there, but i'm biased of course!!
- Old castle gate ruin. The Castle pub.
- Reigate Grammar
- Reigate is a great town, not too big, not too small. The shops aren't bad, and the local restaurants could feed you for several months without getting bored! Five minutes from the M25, fifteen minutes from Gatwick airport, forty-five minutes on the train to London. The huge Priory Park and tranquil Castle Grounds provide a welcome relief from the densly populated surrounding streets. Reigate Hill is as imposing as it is beautiful, and gives a real cosy feeling to "the friendly town at the foot of the downs".
