Pubs in Reigate, Surrey*

The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call

You can tell us more about Reigate.

Pubs
  • Skim is great but is generally not for youth
  • loads of pubs blue anchor & red cross owned by same people, two red faced piss heads white hart for cheap booze and young student crowd the castle or priory as its now called for good service and anything else
  • The Market in Reigate is an excellent place to go for a drink.Fri&Sat nights has a wicked DJ! But if you dont fancy a dance down stairs is well chilled. No idiots it's over 21's And nice friendly atmosphere it's open till 12. BUT last entrance is 10.15!! No trainers either. But an excellent night out. Friendly door staff (which makes a change!!) The Tickled is OVER PRICED!! and if your face dont fit you wont get in!! The White Heart is ok cheap younger person's hang out but ok. The Priory (formerly the castle)Door staff are idiots the place has a lovley garden no atmosphere whatsoever VERY clicky. There idea of a DJ well some pratt in a corner playin crap music!! The Blue Anchor is a nice enough place also THe Red cross is ok. BUT the winner by far is The Market forgot to mention the bar staff are also lovely which all in all makes for a great night out.The DJ is soo good!
  • The Nutley Hall--friendly little pub, full of amazing characters--great beer, good food. Rmour has it that the new owners will open the back bar and the couryard whic will be great for families.
  • Great pubs - classy compared to Dorking and Redhill!
  • red cross
  • white hart utter joke may aswell be a youth club
  • um the jizz (prince) of wales is good for old men and young fresh lads as well-blue anchor white harte the bell the red cross bullshead
  • The Red Cross is actually lovely now it's been done up, as is the Blue Anchor, although the latter tends to have a slightly older, quiter crowd. The Bull is now the reigning old mans' pub..go in to see my father! The Prince of Wales is grotty but some of the people (and dogs) r nice. Market is a dump, don;t be fooled by the pretty dress code signs. Bell is nice if you like sharing a pub with the landlord and his curtains..Castle is dodgy, tracksuits seem to be compulsory
  • The tap and spile has now gone back to its former name The Red Cross. Nice friendly pub thatloves doggy company. Land Lord also owns Blue Anchor. Excellent Sunday Roasts.
  • avoid the panther like the plague. it used to be OK but the new landlord is an ex-estate agent(!) and has had a charisma bypass (totally successful)and the pub is chocca with boring local middle aged tossers
  • Lots of friendly pubs. Tickled Ivory is a new piano bar, it's a great place to catch up and relax.
  • *Firkin is regular drinking hotspot although it does appear to have far too many younguns for my liking. Cheap drinks on Tuesdays but way too busy! 2 pool tables. A pretty equal mix of kevs and grungers/skaters. The Management r cool and they usually have Kerrang TV or MTV2 on. Unless its crowded with pikeys in which case they play some crappy dance shit but at least its not Garage. AND PLEASE GET SOME FUCKING AIR CONDITIONING IN THERE! *The Castle (youth club) With loub unbearable music and many pikeys *The Bell, very small, very quiet, very dead. Apparently it used to be a gay pub too *The Bulls Head. Not too bad, quiet but cosy *THe blue anchor. I dont like this pub 4 sum reason, never have *The prince of wales. next to the train station, real younguns can get served. full of old freaks. A total crusty dive. but pool is just 50P! and it has a jelly bean and mintral machine.
  • The Bulls Head is good for a small local pub, the Skimmington Castle is exclent for thirsty dog walkers or hikers and very child-friendly. Aviod the Blue Wanker
  • The Venture Inn - pub quiz on tuesday nights, with a joke of a quiz master. Go along to have a good laugh if nothing else.
  • too many ppubs. to many charity shops too. old people smell like urine
  • Don't forget the Nutley Hall in a small residential backstreet in Reigate. They've got a great restaurant, and still remains a local boozer. They also run two cricket teams for all ages and (drinking) abilities.
  • The Skimmington Castle - excellent for a nice quiet drink and wonderful food, excellent hosts The Bell - quiet in the day, not as quiet on the night, nice staff
  • Don't look any further than the Castle. Fantastic for live football (esp internationals). Avoid the Market if you hate suits. Firkin has only pool table in town. Blue Anchor (friendly local). Tap and Spile - don't bother.
  • Plenty to keep you going - biggest one in the centre of town is The Market but there are at least 5 others in the town centre to chose from, and another half dozen within 5-10 minutes walk of the centre. For a more tranquil environment and stonking good grub, go west out of town to Reigate Heath for the Skimmington Castle but ask for directions else you'll never find it! The local trendies hang out at The Cage bar next to Safeway's.
