Skateboarding Spots
  • WHAT DO YOU WANT - WE CANT DO IT - UNLESS YOU TELL US - I WANT TO DO IT FOR YOU, BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHAT YOU KIDS/TEENAGERS WANT.
  • Reigate Priory. Loads of skaters and BMXers.
  • ramps in the priory
  • skateboard ramp, car park at the back of bancroft road, forget skateboarding just get stoned in the park
  • yup that ramp in woodhatch has been made - its ok - jst a 3 ft and 4 ft metal ramp but gd for learning new stuff on. theres gonna be a skate park made in reigate tho shud be gd - gettin some bowls and hopefully not ur bog standard skate park of quarter pipes and fun boxes - hopefully we'll get a street park some rails, grind boxes, gaps, manual pads etc. planned to be done by 2007.
  • Reigate college is definitely worth checking out - loads of gaps, manual pads etc. - no sets tho unortunately but there are some sets around town if u can find them - none of them are perfect tho
  • The half pipe in Priory Park has to be the best place to skate, but people do skate in the tunnel aswell.
  • A new spot has recently been found - its just above the pedestrian tunnel (if u go down the tunnel there are some stairs up the side go up them) there is a long smooth run up to a largish 2 set (which is more of a gap than stair set) and then a really small 4 set (mind ur head tho) - also two 7 sets but they are not really skateable unless u bring ply. Oh and a 7 foot drop off a roof that has to be done at some point. U can skate this any sunday with no hastle.
  • Watsons (big building near pedestrian tunnel - with the ballerina statue) could be good if there wasnt such bastards of people working there that chuck u out. There is a quite good 5 set, good grass gaps and a fair sized 10 set. Reigate college is amazing to skate - there are so many different gaps to try, grindable curbs, manual pads varying in sizes, flatland, drops and a kicker.
  • multi-storey carpark, the college if its open, the back of safeways/m&s, where "rank" hall is.
  • There is a 10 set outside the church near RGSchool and a 6 set round the back of Safewaysand a 5 set outside Rank Hall (round the back of Safeways). Soon there will be a halfpipe put in the dirt track area in Woodhatch but i dont know when. There are other spots in Woodhatch: try Sandcross school its got a nice grass gap and a shity 5 set.
  • There is stuff in the park of course: a small ramp, playground, 3 set. near the station there is the homebase leap of faith, walls to ollie, a 4set, and on the other side of the road from the station theres a 9 set but it doesnt have much of a landing space, theres also some other sets but they land right in the main road. The multistory car park near the cinema has some waxed curbs. the college has some gaps, waxed curbs and benches. the tunnel in reigate: smooth with waxed curbs. lymden gardens has some good ledges and some really small stair sets. St Marys school has benches and smooth surface and near it there is a 3 set. RGS has a 3 set, 5 set smooth surfaces. round the back of eric lindseys guitar shop there is a small gap of cobbles into the road and a smooth car park.
  • the car park near the cinema is gd its really funny but dangerous if u street lude but BEAWARE OF CARS DRIVING UPTHE CARPARK!!!!
  • props to the guy 2 down who has pretty much got most of the spots in reigate, BUT-the white ledges have been destroyed by bmxers and now a bald estate agent (who we have on video swearing at us) and a neighbourhood watch kick you off them or call the police. just along from the station (turn left from the homebase side) are the royal mail ledges on the way to the college, there's no run up but they're fun for nose and boardslides. the posh school off reigate road has benches 5 set and plywood etc (cos they're building at the moment) so you can make kickers but watch out for the caretaker. finally, the only other place is the cut-through from bell street to lesbourne road with a 3 set and just gaps and even a waxed curb-ooohhh.
  • crap ramp in priory park, safeways car park
  • well-reigate alright for skating-reigate college (go outta station and turn left til get to gates with spikes on) has gaps drops benches steps galor-explore it-dont just stay in car park area (only go on weekend or holidays).um by station there's wallride wooden bar wdrops and the leap of faith reigate style-about 6/7 foot-a challenge even for me. also office blocks opposite road if you turn right outta station-4 7 6 and 9 sets-and the nicest white ledges down road directly opposite one from station. lynden gardens-but noone know where they are-and assorted office blocks car parks and the park-just look around and use you imagination-oh yeah for gnarly skaters go to back of safeways
  • A few but nothing good. Flat, pool and ramp.
  • November 2001 - Plenty of them if you know where to look. Have a look at www.reigatesk8.co.uk for more information.
  • The halfpipe, the skate park behind Reigate College (jst dont get caught!)
  • There are some nice stair sets around town if u can find them. Under the tunnel near the town centre there is a waxed curb, althougth its dark and hard to exactly where the wax is. Reigate college has some nice gaps and curbs. Their is a leap of faith gap[ and the homebase near the college if u got the guts. ive only seen one person try it and he didnt land it. maybe u can!. redhill with is part of the redhill reigate conurbation is much better for skating.
  • The ramp in Priory Park is OK but apart from the halfpipe and grind poles that's it.
  • the patheticly small green ramp. burn it
  • It's not like that here, if you know what I mean.
  • The Priory School carpark on weekends is about as good as you'll get.
