- Little Thai place is fab, opposite the estate agent, tamarind i think it is called. Not to be missed
- The Black Horse, Chorleywood Common. Food for giants and very good value.
- Del remos is now villa romania and the vine cottage (greek) is now burberrys wine bar (not sure if thats spelt right), there still both great places to eat and drink. Long island exchange isn't all everyone says it is, but sometimes after parties they have helium balloons wich are great fun when your drunk.
- The kebab centre in money hill is absolutely gorgeous baby! Forget KFC over the road, come there. The portions of chips are massive + put all other places to shame, the salad is bought fresh everyday + u can get it free!
- mmm White bear pub if you fancy chewy chineese tangs is the place to be don't piss em of f or you will probably end up with your drink on your lap a great place to take a girlfriend your not that serious about. Mill End Kebab House is the greatest kebeb house in the world friendly staff huge portions with very reasonable prices and it tastes great A MUST anybody from Ricky knows.
- Tim's Table (chinese restaurant on moneyhill parade) ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS chinese food!!
- Kebab Centre: Take your life into your own hands and enter the brightly lighted shop of no return. Generally appeals to enebriated males who temporarily forget all inhabitions relating to salmonella (assuming they had any to start with) and divulge their fancies with greasy gunge that has blatently been standing on its shelf long enough to have gained an IQ higher than its purchaser (granted, in this area thats not hard to achieve). The kebabs bounces the shelves whilst the salad break dances for the flys. Frightening stuff.

- As Above...no fast food...other than a chippie
- Gourmet2000 at 161a Uxbridge Road, MoneyHill Parade, Rickmansworth WD3 7DW ... Ricky's only emporium for the true epicure.
Roots Restaurant, MoneyHill Parade... top prices, top food, Highly recommended.
- need a mc donalds. there were plans to build on on batchworth roundabout near tesco but the locals voted NO so they built shitty offices with no one seems to use. Next to the little garare which is next to st marys church.
- The Coach & Horses in the High Street serves great food - not cheap, but
excellent quality. Menu changes daily, and food is always fresh. Extensive
wine list, good ale, and a friendly atmosphere.
- the chip shop at the bottom of the high street
- The Thai restaurant is now moved two doors and called Thai George. George's wine bar now serves Spanish food/tapas. The Thai restaurant is modern, airy (but can get a bit noisy). Food is delicious, especially the pad thai, and the service is very good. You need to book on a Friday and Saturday night and they have two slots - early and late. Don't turn up and expect to get a table on spec on these nights
- ESpresso Bar again - Roasted Veg Baguette - Mmmmmmmm :) !!
- Le Gourmet Francais on-line at 161A Uxbridge Rd., RICKMANSWORTH, Herts WD3 2DW and also on www.gourmet2000.co.uk is a new online store with a retail outlet. They specialise in all things gastronomic and ship to any destination nationally within 36 hours.
Currently there are 600 different products available ranging from Caviar to Truffles and from Extra virgin olive oil to vanilla pods...via cassoulets, confits, prepared seafood dishes, salads in a jar and Foie Gras.
- Did you know they've got Thai food at George's on Church St? It's pretty good for outside London, and it's only about £10/head. The food's pretty mild though. And Georges is so cosy, isn't it?
- Wicked little indian restaurant "The curry garden" great atmos and service + food!!
- Remo's in the High Street - pretty cheap and a good place to "line your stomach" for a heavy night around the numerous pubs within staggering distance.
- There is a Long Island Exchange - American bar/restaurant. Food is not very good, but burger/steak/fries people will love it! Good place for experimenting with cocktails - but a bit pricey. Attracts a very young crowd and plays VERY loud 'pumpin' music.
I've eaten at the Long Island Exchange a number of times because I visit Rickmansworth quite often. I even spilled a whole order of spare ribs on my shirt once. My only problem with the Long Island is that I come to England to get AWAY from crap beers like Budweiser, and that's what they serve at the Long Island (Courage, son!).
- Give the Vine Cottage a go! - Good and Greek
