- Kings Head, Golden Lion and White Horse are great. Blanchfields is ok but a beer festival should have more than 8 beers! its more of a beer fete.
- Anne Boleyn ok for families (big plates)cheap on monday and tuesday

- Being an old market town, Rochford has lots of pubs, in fact 9 within 200yards of the main square !!!!!!!
- So many pubs, so little time. Rochford certainly has its fair share. Most are quite empty so there is a fair chance that you will get served before closing time.
- There was one - that's all there was, except an abandoned farm I used to play in and a sweetshop/newsagents and a vicarage.My great-grandmother, Sara Ann Simpson, lived just off the main road in a bungalow named "Ashlea". I stayed there donkeys years ago. And they remodelled the old church there, I believe, unless that was the one in Hawkwell. I remember getting my little legs stung like hell by tall stinging nettles walking along the main road to Hawkwell. Sorry - I got carried away for a moment.
