- I'm sure that if I knew where to look I would find some young people around to ask what they think of Rochford, but so far all my searching has been to no effect. Still if I could find them I'm sure that they would agree that Rochford is a great place for retired people! If you have a bus pass and think that Des O'conner is the latest pin up, well you should be a rochford resident. We have several dentists that specialise in dentures and a great Doctors. I hear that the chiropidist even visits the surgery! Wheel chair access can be a bit of a problem due to the narrow streets but then we don't really get much traffic passing through! I wonder why?

Not everyone can lay claim to being named after a bungalow! Could it possibly be that it was once a meadow of ash trees?
