• Best thing about rotherham now is that i no longer have to live there- however when i did the best things were the old canteen in RCAT (circa 1992), getting stoned and drunk in clifton park, meeting friends at the kiosk outside the old bus station, and the big mirrored windows on boots where you could have scary trippy conversations with yourself when in an altered state of conciousness.

• The buses are cheap (and if you're a kid they're even cheaper!)You can get to other places easily and it's cheap too (you may not think so, but when you were born in London you think it's almost free when you come up here!)

• The best thing about Rotherham was the Orgreave Slag Heap. You could spend hours walking around the place, throwing stones into the muddy resevoir or sliding down the gravel on a cardboard box. When it rained, you could get very muddy shoes and take two hours to get off the place. And if that wasn't enough, you could cross the pipe arched over the river rother, or the old very dangerous rusty bridge, sprint across the railway track and you'd be at treaton dyke, where there was lots of abandoned mining machinery, fungus ridden fish and an old grown woodland, where it is rumoured there was a tunnel built to sheffield castle to rescue Mary Queen of Scots. But I don't think it was much cop.
• Graftons - You can't get an egg custard like it anywhere else in the country !!!
• Apart from the millers (obviously) the best team in rotherham has to be the Rugby union team for there excellent performances

• The best thing is the cheap nights around rotherham on a monday night, you just can't beat going to New Yorks on amonday night and getting a bottle for 50p,can you really? THen on to theZone were yes the music is crap but you can get a bottle of bud for £1 and have a dance on the podium when your completely shitfaced. Also Rotherham Rugby club which is the most successful in the first twelve years of the courage leagues in the country, and it's now amateur XClub Rotherham Clifton who are just starting out to try to emulate the glory years of the now professional Rotherham Side
• Good recreational amenities, the biggest playing fields in the world as far as I know.
• The people are friendly enough Cheap food
• there are a lot of inexpensive little shops like wot's in store and a little liquidation shop in the old town hall arcade across from boot's chemist shop that always have nifty things for sale.

• One of Rotherham's best features is that it is near Meadowhall.
• Rotherham's really just another part of Sheffield. So what if there's nothing much to do in Rotherham? Get down the city centre and enjoy yourself!
