- Steel City guitars on London Road in Sheffield is by far the best guitar shop locally. They have a great range of guitars and accessories. The staff are friendly and clued up and will spend time chatting with you. Fair on their prices too. Did me a storming deal.
- THE BEST PIANO SHOP I HAVE EVER BEEN IN IS THE PIANO CENTRE IN ROTHERHAM OFF WESTGATE.
IT HAS A DRUM SECTION IN IT TOO THE CHOICE OF PIANOS IS ACE THEY HAD ALLSORTS IN STEINWAYS EVEN AFFORDABLE OVERSTRUNG PIANOS
- Rockem Music is the new drum shop in rotherham - its down the end of westgate - part of the Rotherham Piano Centre
- Stringstocks. It's the only guitar shop in Rotherham with guitars like Fender, Gibson and Ibanez. It's new but they have one in Barnsley. The one in Rotherham is opposite Kwik Save on Wellgate. Andy, the guy who runs it, is a pro guitarist. They do lessons as well.

- Not that good i'm affraid - Try 'Academy of Sound' on City Road - Sheffield or 'Electro Music' - Doncaster - they are amazing and compete prices with each other!!! J.E

- Opposite Old hall School they used to be a shitty music shop, at Kimberworth.
