• The Stag on Wickersley Road Rotherham. Definateley the best pub around. The Manager Tim has turned it around. Kicked out the scum bags and serves a great pint. What's more he takes time out to talk to the locals. He has a strict code of conduct with regards to kids....which is a good thing, maybe some of the locals woul learn a thing or two regarding morals.
• THE STAG, FRIENDLY BAR STAFF FRIENDLY CUSTOMERS HOWEVER THE LANDLORD TIM IS A RIGHT W****R unsociable, rude, well in general very unpleasant.
• The Park, Badsley Moor Lane Brilliant Atmosphere,friendly, large kids room and play area, fun for all the family, regular events and fun days a good night out for all the family.
• Butcher's arms is Rotherham's answer to Dublin's 'Dockers bar'. If you've never been - you don't know.
• THE BLUECOAT , ROTHERHAM, GOOD CHEAP PUB, ONLY THING IS, THE STAFF ARE PERMANTLY MARDY,EVEN IN THE LAST 5 YEAR OF DRINKING THERE THEY HAVE ALLA ADOPTED THE SAME ATTITUDE, BE CAREFULL WHAT YOU SAY IF THERE IS A MEMBER OF STAFF COLLECTING GLASSES NEAR YOU BECAUSE ON MORE THAN 3 TIMES I HAVE BEEN BARRED FOR HAVING A PERSONAL CONVERSATION WITH FREAINDS AND A GLASS COLLECTER HAS EARWIGGED OUR CONVERSATION AND THOUGHT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THEM, WICH WE WAS NOT, AND AS A RESULT WE ENDED UP GETTING BARRED?!? CRAZY I KNOW?, BUT I THINK THE STAFF THERE HAVE NOTHING BETTER ELSE TO DO THAN LISTEN INTO OTHER PEOPLES CONVOS WHILE COLLECTING GLASSES AND ARE REALY SELF PARANOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!IT PISSES ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Snafu, Fubar, Charter Arms, No 10 (formerly Tut'n'Shive), Rhinos and Bluecoat (Wetherspoons), Mailcoach, Angel, County Burough (pub to avoid), more nightclubs than we need...
• you overlook the Mailcoach none of this crappy chart music , just solid classics , mates & ale. wot more can u ask for on a sunday nite.

• the storm nightclub on ship hill rotherham also has live bands every month starting with alexanders palace on wednesday 16 feb and the bigger the crowd the bigger the band so if you want to see all the big bands live give them your support doors open 9 pm till 2 am all drinks £2.50
• Stay well away from the Charters! ... get into the Belv its fab, but have your I.D at the ready!

• The "Tut and Dive" on wellgate has changed in to a rather nice clean bar called No 10. Its a 100% improvement. hasnt been this busy for years and years. The beer tastes pretty good too, as does the food. The staff are also very friendly, WE LOVE IT, WELL DONE!! and thankyou for dragging rotherham into this century.
• The Mason's in Wickersley on a Sunday afternoon - full of nobheads in the best sense of the word.
• Bellvidear!!!! The ENTIRE clientel is 'fresh faced', if you like.
• The Stag pub at Herringthorpe is the place 2 B on Wednesday night. Disco & pub quiz and a great crowd of people. Come down and have a laugh with us but whatever you do DON'T DANCE!!! Female bar staff don't like the competition!

• Bluecoats--cheap and cheerless, sit outside in summer and laugh at scrubbers over a pint of ale. FUBAR--Rocks, plays rock and birds get their tits out and photos on wall, knickers over bar, free drinks etc No10--a fading ghost of the former Tut'n'Shive, but urines from a great hight on Cleaver. Avoid landlord but come in one afternoon and buy me a pint. Charters--"There's nothing wrong with Noel"

• The Masons at wickersley is full of very expensive looking young people,great for fashion tips and a casual drink before heading off into town. Sunday and Thurs are the best nite but of course sat's are busy too.

• Tut 'n' Shive has changed it's name to the cleaver, n redecorated :( but it's still one of the best pubs, if only cos of the music! The welly is cool esp on Tuesday, n the charters has a cool atmosphere, but tis pricey .... £2.50 for a wkd blue? eekk!

• The top pub in rotherham has to be the belvedere. situated practically on thomas rotherham colleges doorstep, the pub is a shrine for students past and present. it aint particulary clean, big or flashy, but theres always bound to be someone in there who you know or alternatively some pissed up student to laugh at....tops!

• The three horse shoes in Wickersley is the best pub around. Staff are helpful and friendly. The beer is even better and Jazz night is exeptionally good fun (Wed 8 pm). So if you want a pub with a more mature feel this is the place to be. Oh and bill Maynard is the best landlord around!!!!!!!! We love you!!!!

• Belvedere on Moorgate Road used to be great but now crap. Went down hill after legendary John Brown the landlord left. Many a drunken night of entertainment to be had by all in those days.
• Top pubs in Rotherham.... MASONS, WICKERSLEY....top nite out, bit packed usually, and u can nip across to Perfect Pizza afterwards! CROSS KEYS....good pre clubbing place! FLORENCE....pretty good, aimed at boozing and bopping crowd!
• Belv Belv Belv, although it's not as good these days, all these kidds seem to think they own it when it's blatantly ours. Even if we do only go there at Christmas now we're grownups.

• The wellington boot on a Tuesday night is good if you like some Music with your Drinks! They have a special room for bands and entry's only £1! Tut and Shive is a good pub, nice n relaxing! Loads of others too - explore!
• Best night out in Wickersley is on a Sunday night at the Masons. But if your looking for something alternate try the disco at Wickersley Comp on a Wednesday.

• The Masons at Wickersley has to be the busiest and best pub in Rotherham hands down. Full of different types of people. Plus plenty of fighting. The Tivoli at Millmoor is a rough club/pub. Wickersley comp have had their sixth form party there and have been massive brawls each year without fail. Hopefully another one on the 16th.

• The best and most atmospheric pub in Rotherham has got to be Dustys. Far and away better than anywhere else. See you in the next life.
• The Hind at Whiston is great. Good beers, Good Food. Bar staff are amazing and the have won many awards. 21 Club at wickersley, formaly the Tanyard club is great. The landlord John is a sound bloke

• check out the new broom pub in broom valley. good prices, very nice atmosphere and excellent food and drink. take no. 125 from the bus station, just a short ride. stay away from the angel and the county borough unless you like to fight.
• the Dickens in was a great place in the early 80's, after no doubt many name changes ,it is now the bog standard trever and tracy pick up place.

• The best pub has to be the Masons at Wickersley. Its an excellent local with a good atmosphere.
• Full of them, per capita I believe Rotherham has the highest number in England. Only the pubs are the worst, there are only two worth a visit, the rest you take your live into your hands upon entering. Of the two, which are The Charter Arms, and The Tut and Shive it is only personal prefference at which people attend. Personally, the Tut is a dive and the Charter's is full of junkies, so take your pick.
• The Angel is a fine drinking establisment but has the burden of being next to the County Borough (not so fine..)

• bar one is cool - plays loads of house-garage music
• best pub we visited while on holiday was the Britannia Arms at Eastwood. The landlord at the time was Shirley and Stephen Palethorpe. Down to earth Working Mans Pub, great beer and great people.
