Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

• The 'Pitz' as its called in Rothesay only operates discos on Friday and Saturday nights for over 18's now! There is no under 18's clubs in Rothesay and if you do try to get in then you obviously won't, they constantly also ask for ID which is good! If the Ritz isn't on then its the pavilion which is good enough and is much better than the Ritz - trust me, it smells in there!
• If you want to carry on drinking when the pubs close ( and believe me they do!). You can go to one of the towns two "night clubs". (I use the term loosly, for anyone that has been anywhere else you'll know waht I mean.) The Pavilion and the Ritz are open on alternate saturday nights, the music is alright and they don't shut until 2am.
• Big Dougies fuckin party's they were awsome jesus christ it wis pishhhhhh the worst nite oot the only decent nite av ever hud wis in the ritz n that was slightly entertaining AVOID IT TOTTALLY FOR A NIGHT OUT!!!!!! you'll thank me for it! head to babylon in greenock watch the thugz n bottles n junk but its a laff!!
• The Ritz in the towns high street offers discos every Friday night and regular Saturday nights. Music is not bad, playing club, dance and pre-release stuff. Also under 18's discos most Saturdays (7.30pm-10.30pm) £2.00 entry
• Ritz Social Club, Rothesay. Phase 2 of refurbishment in planning stage. Due to commence early 2001. In conjunction with the local Police, Ritz management and Argyll & Bute Council the Ritz, along with the Pavilion now operates an over 18's policy at Main event Discos & Functions. I.D. is required for entry to both venues.
• The Ritz Social Club (Honest !) in the high Street offers a disco most weekends but is a bit of a dive. The only other disco is held on Saturday nights in the Pavilon Hall which is passable for entertainment.
