Dancers from across the Globe will descend on Cheshire to compete at the 'UK Star Studded Championships held at Northwich Memorial Hall on the 1st,2nd & 3rd of August. This is the first time this venue will be used to hold this event, the Saturday evening includes a Modern Jive & West Coast Swing Freestyle. The competition for the first time will have a Modern Jive category, 'UK Modern Jive ProAm' Competition, and a 'Dance with a stranger' Competition. As I am unable to find any information at present on ROTHLEY HOUSE or THE OLD RED LION. Then on georges death about 1864 it passed to a Samuel palling who was brother in law to one of georges daughters. People in Thurcaston & Rothley should register with BT for Broadband as the Rothley exchange requires upgrading and BT won't do it until there is a sufficient demand - great service what? There is a BT website to encourage people to register their interest in Broadband -there is no obligation in registering but it would help if only people with a genuine desire for Broadband do so. I am searching for my half brother who would be approx. 56 - 57 yrs of age now. During WWll, 1943 - 44, my father, Robert "Gordon" Cole, was stationed at Aldershot as a gunnary instructor with the Canadian Armored Corps. While there he went into London on his leaves and wether it was there or in Aldershot, he met a love. Her name could possibly be Emma, although we are not quite sure on this name. We can only hope that son was told of his father and given him his name to know. If anyone has heard or knows of this situation, would you please contact me. It would be greatly appreciated.
