Pubs
  • the stag smells and is like walking into a time warp!!!!!!
  • we have wetherspoons, but if you are planning a meal out with your family try not to get too annoyed when the storm trouper tactics of the management order you and your family to another part of the room so proffesional drinkers can get closer to the bar..and ross has got plenty of them, we sat in the pissheads only section and becuase our child was only 16 we were bundled to the 'family area' so the boozers could get hammerd cheaply and without having to walk too far, we wont be back..i recomend the man of ross , nice place that!!
  • Weatherspoons has to be the best pub in Ross. Some people say that it has no atmosphere...I think it does, just depends on the company. However on a weekend it can get kinda packed especially between 7-9pm
  • Weatherspoons (land of cheap pint) - an excellent place to go totty spotting too. The crown is also a fine pub.
  • yes there are pubs , my favourite is the MAN OF ROSS its the first pub you get to before the one way system screws your mind up, local and freindly, good food.
  • The Stag... a proper pub.
  • hey im a minor > and i get served :D
  • Yes....Thats what its called....Fresh faced.
  • THE CHARLIE HAS TO BE THE PLACE TO GO, GOOD MUSIC AND THE STAFF ARENT BAD EITHER THE GOOD THING IS THAT IT DOUBLES UP AS A CLUB AT WEEKENDS NOW THAT IT IS OPEN UNTIL 1AM
  • www.hopeandanchorross.co.uk new web site for re-furbished pub with great food & live music. Conseravatory available for private parties. Gardens down to the River
  • 'Spoons is the best place to go if you want to rub shoulders with the good folk of Ross. But that's literally rubbing shoulders. Its always packed. The 'Charlie' used to be quite nice. But then a dude with a goatee bought it and turned it into a Ben Sherman-full hovel where you can't hear yourself speak and overweight 'ladies' oscillate in a cage. Great. The Hope And Anchor is a nice pub for meeting mates in, always friendly people there, and the large beer garden means its never too full. The Crown's ok. I just wish they'd get a new CD player. It gets annoying when Club Mix 98 starts skipping all the time. There are loads of other pubs around, none of which a particularly bad.
  • Check out the new king charles or the charlie now called charlies bar. They have got rid of the kids and put a wicked sound and light system in. Its better than jacks dump. Saturday night are good if you dont want kids ariund your feet though friday is still the same banging music not my taste but good fun though.
  • All the Ross pubs are filled with retarded chavs and twelve year olds
  • Most of the pubs are filled with the same old chavs that normally end up in jacques. A night out in Ross will normally end in a mugging or some kind of fight. Remember to take some Mace.
  • the best pubs in ross in my opinion are: Weatherspoons, the Crown, Riverside, Charlie, the eagle and J.d's.
  • Well I must say the pub where i work the "charlie" great place, ive been 2 the crown twice since the changed it and that was sun 28th apr and mon 29th and i dont like it, eagels ok, connallys is great. Spoons AkA Weahterspoons, the Mail rooms is ok great decor but too quiet need music PLEASE
  • Many many pubs in ross serve underage drinkers. They don't care. neither do the underage drinkers.
  • Ross has quite a few pubs in all fairness, although I only ever go into about 4 of them, however they've recently done up the crown and septre because they're making the old post office into a wetherspoons place, the eagle, down the bottom of broad street opposite where the cinema used to be,has had a recent make over aswell.Wow,wizz zeez posh pubs zey are really spoiling us... ec shellente...
  • I would like to correct the person who talked of swilling pints of cafferys in the hope and anchor in the fact that the hope doesn't actually serve it!
  • THE HOPE AND ANCHOR IS NOT ALL THAT. GO TO THE STAG OR PLOUGH FOR THE LESBIAN NUDY DART CONTESTS, SO I'VE HEARD.
  • King Charles II ("Charlie") is Ok if you're 16, otherwise you'll feel ancient. The Hope and anchor down by the river is nice, if a tad pricey. The Crown and sceptre by the market house has a good beer selection, but can be crowded Friday/Saturday nights
  • The Riverside Inn Ross's own Fawlty Towers.
  • Lots of good pubs around this area.
  • The place to be over the summer months is swilling down pints of Caffreys by the river in the Hope and Anchor.
  • King Charles, Crown and Septer, Horse and jockey, Hope and Anchre or as it is otherwise known, The Hoples W##ker!!!And a few others I can't be bothered to remember!!!
