  • Salford Art Gallery is one of the best buildings in the whole of Salford.
  • There used to be a great libary in ordsall but a gang of thugs burned it down

  • The new Lowry centre (opening May 2000) is going to be awesome. It's working that Bilbao Guggenheim mojo, all curves and polished metal. The line-up of concerts, comedians, and other performances is massive. And let's not forget the Lowry Gallery inside, with the world's biggest collection of Matchstick Men and Matchstick Dogs. And it's all on the Quays in a beatiful canalside setting. Apparently the Imperial War Museum of the North is going in across the canal, along with a Holocaust Museum, all designed by top architects. Oh, and it's all on the super cool trams!
