Christopher Biggins was born and brought up in the city. His father ran the "Biggins" junk shop in the city for many years. Ralph Feinnes (Film Actor), Richard Hill (Rugby),Andrew Harvey (Newsreader) all attended Bishop Wordsworth's School in the City. Willam Golding (Author) was also a teacher at the school. Barry Mung (Comedy) was born and still lives in the City.
