- Kebab shops and shops owned by the same people, they are the only ones open after bedtime (9.00pm and earlier for this lot on a Saturday night).
Had one bloke moaning like a devil possessed at me because he because had to stay open til 10, who dare they make people work for their money here?
Went back at 9.45pm and it was all shut they had gone home.
Sad carrot munchers.
- Look around Salisbury Market Square area.
- Yummy Takeaway...by the station....cheap, cheerful and occasionally still frozen...yummy food, quick delivey and good prices....
- The Dragon(Chinease)or the charcoal grill(Kebabs)both in fisherton street.
- mc donalds obviously!! xx
- Sit down Chinese, chef peking is the best from a group of all good restruants.
Numerous indian restuants in town Golden curry highly recommended
For Italian Ponochios just up from station, Bruno cooks everything from fresh & if your lucky you may even hear him badly playing guitar (happy birthday)
- Chico Land in the Canal do a box of chips for £1
- wongs is the best chinese takeaway, on winchester st
- Cross Keys Restaurant - is an excellent family run business offering good food all day - plenty to suit all tastes & budgets inc vegetarian & Kids food. My favourite place in town ( and its no smoking )
- If you like fish and chips you have to try the resturant upstairs in Stobys, it does lovely food and for about £3.00 you'll get a massive plate load! Quality!
La Gondala at the end of Fisherton Street is the best Italian and just outside town on Castle Road theres a Harvester which is good. In town theres a pub in Milford Street called The Coach House which does breakfast till 2pm, tues-sat for between £1-£3, no lie they are nice and really big!!
- All you can eat Chinese buffet in Fisherton St, The Dragon.
Eat as much as you can (good after a hangover!!) for £5 at lunchtime 12-2, or £10-12 in the evenings.
- ASK, afon and LXIX are the best.
- Brasserie 206 (behind Milford Hall Hotel in Castle Street)
Great food and loads of parking
- Ask in Castle Steet is excellant. The Chaugh is good too.
- Place by the railway station that was run by Timmy?
- The usual , apart from a KFC! Which we all crave in Salibury!
However Chick-O-Land is a superb alternative, very tasty and proper chicken too!
- Ask is sopposed to be a good shop
- well lots and lots to cater for all from cheap to expensive alpino is the best italian resteraunt there!!!
- Mr T's is good, try Ask as well.
- McDonalds,and other normal chains
- Mr T's cafe. It is wonderful, the staff are so polite and fast like lightening!
No No to Woolworth's as they keep putting th eprices up, £1.45 for a titchy piece of cake!
Pizza Express is nice.
- Only stuff like Burger King, MacDonalds e.t.c
- Pizza Hut
- Sadly, Mo's closed down some time ago and has been replaced by a Chinese takeaway.
- A little greasy spoon near the station called, imaginatively the "Bacon Sandwich". Overdose on cholestorol like it was going out of fashion. This place leaves no stone unturned, in fact you will leave with several more than you came in with! Honestly though, great food from Matt the chef, of a nice basic variety with loads of style. My bacon bap was a monster!
- [On the other hand...] Cheap, vegetarian sandwiches at health food store two blocks from the station.
- Of eateries, Mo's on Milford Street is a great bistro type place and Harpers in the Market Place is up-market and excellent.
- The Jade is very nice on Exeter St. Rather expensive though.
- Curry Masters - Takeaway The Asia - Fisherton St The Porton Hotel in Porton Village is under new management and they have reopened the restaurant - very nice and deserving of support in my opinion.
- Chutneys House of Savoury on Estcourt Road does take away curries. Absolutely fab, authentic and unusual. Best I've ever tasted.
