The Worst Things in Saltburn-by-the-sea, Cleveland*

The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it

You can tell us more about Saltburn-by-the-sea.

The Worst Things
  • Saltburn Community Association, a clique with no imagination. A folk festival with no imagination. Saltburn fighting against contemporary culture. The most photographed pier in the UK. How many photographers does it take to photograph the pier? 50 mature photo students with far to much time on their hands, waiting for their property investments to mature in Saltburn.
  • Some rude shop staff in the town but that's about it.
  • having to go in at night
  • the expensive stuff
  • The gossip. I moved away from Saltburn down South 6 years ago and everyone there still knows all my business when I go back to visit!
  • its cold, theres too many chavs and the 'so solly crew' they think there hard but they arent hehe
  • NOT HAVING SOMEWHERE NICE TO LIVE AND BEING JUDGED FOR IT FROM LOCALS I came here to get away from crime, smackheads and losers earlier this year. I live near the jewel streets yes they are a mess and where i live is very run down also. I would like to point out it's not always the lodger but the minging landlords who dont give a toss about doing the accommodation up. I myself work out of town, have a car and money in the bank and as a visitor to this town dont like been compared to the pond life that already exists here.
  • chinkey toneys
  • it can be quite boring
  • the fact the people of the world can still let places like this exist
  • Vandalism - simply no need.
  • Realising your best option is going home after being kicked out of the pub around half eleven. The youth that hang around the square. They get filthier every year. When they take the goals down on the field-that's just uncalled for.
  • the nutters
  • Sommerfield
  • KEITH KERNICEN (arse hole)
  • the arcade lot - big headed, arrogant and wrinkly
  • there int none
  • the council spending millions of eu money to refurbish their offices BEFORE looking at ways to improve SALTBURN. i have heard tell that one councillor was noted as saying that Saltburn was far too snobby for it's own good and needed bringing down to earth - oh i wonder where this particular person hailed from! Seems this 'MEMBER' of the COUNCIL has got his wish!!!!Q
  • People badmouthing the town on the internet and expressing their small minded, judgemental views on the towns youth
  • The many dog walkers, Saltburners' & strangers alike who let their dogs crap all over the pavements, parks, play areas & beaches. You know who you are & you are not welcome. There's nowt worse than the smell of freshly mown dog muck on a beautiful Summers day.
  • Queensway, The Jewel Streets, The Tourists.
  • The dirty smack-fiend scum
  • the dirty smack heads but every towns got them.
  • The sad souls who sit around the Station portico and make a mess of the area and then complain about it all. It's time you all 'got a life'........
  • Smack heads who clean cars n ask to but fags off you
  • the inbreds
  • waiting for the train or bus :(
  • they are all related....i mean their mother is their sister who is actually their brother.
  • the kids
  • the people. stuck up, smackheads, thieves arse holes
  • Unfriendly people, the fact that there's so many care homes for the elderly: no youth culture. The amount of bizarre mentals (soetimes funny tho) Snobs. Jewel street skanks. Council estate skanks. Massive boredom. isolation and poor public transport. The lack of shops or job centre. Huntcliff school's oppressive disciplinarianism. The poor qulity of life for many jewel street residents.
  • Theiving smack heads
  • Public library, can be a bit quiet if you let it, can be windy, the groups of kids who sometimes congregate to drink cider around the railway station.
