Pubs in Sandwich, Kent*
The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Sandwich.
Pubs
- The Crispin is great for Mexican food and other dishes
- The New Inn. It's ok. More for the cliquey crowd and then the old
men and women who think they can still pull (and grossly
usually do!)
The Fleur. One of the best. Friendly, young (but not minor
chavs), and quite cosy.
The Market Inn. Old men is all i can think of.
The Crispin. Ok. Nice pub.
The George and Dragon. Really nice. More of an eating pub.
Fantastic food.
The Red Cow. Again nice for a meal.
Magnums (The Bell Hotel). Aweful interior, excellent prices, nice
to sit in the beer garden in the summer (only pub you can sit
outside in sandwich.)
- For regular live music, pool and a busy atmosphere the Fleur de Lis is best, also the New Inn, practically next door. However many more to try so leave plenty of time for a decent pub crawl!
- Please let it be known that the Crispin pub is still under the ownership of Richard & Yvonne Grant!!!!
It still is a most freindly & welcoming place, that I still use daily, & wish them & their managment all the best for the future years!!!!
- ..so someone got unhappy because Rich wanted his business run as a BUSINESS. As ever, it's always good to see a sensible, informed comment from one of the Sandwich residents about something that's happened under their nose but were probably too pissed to see. I'm sure, although disenchanted with the Crispin, they are now in new watering grounds, sitting on if not similar, the same type of barstool...talking the same uninformed crap.....cheers!
- All pubs that serve you are good, all pubs that don't are bad, that is the rule
- The Crispin has once again changed! Richard Grant has kicked out all staff, giving them only a weeks notice to leave. Chris Sneller, loyal employee for well over 6 years was given a week and a half's notice. What a nice Christmas bonus! All regulars have now decided that the Admiral Owen over the road is a much friendlier pub and it is now the best pub in town. RIP Crispin.
- The Crispin (by the Toll Bridge) has now changed hands and is now owned by Chris Sneller ( he's the bloke that hasn't bought me a pint in ages. As he now runs the place I shall look forward to lots in the future. Go on... visit the pub and make him rich!
- Best pub in Sandwich is the Crispin by the quay/bridge (ask for Chris and he may buy you a pint).
- The best pub is still the Crispin by the Toll bridge. Owned by Rich and Yvonne Grant. Top food, beer and chat. Chris will not buy you a pint. He has never brought me one in the past and I have known him years.
