Magic corners of nature and great local characters - try HEMPY from Eyemouth who used to jump of the end of the pier tied in chains - his other job was as the local postman...don't try this at home! Or the hidden jwels of Berwick the most listed town in the UK (Derek Sharman the tourist guide knows the secretes, tell him Joyce sent you..). A great hidaway yet only 50 miles from Edinburgh. Glasgow & Newcastle - the Borders has a higher catchment area than Edinburgh - you'd never guess it from the sheep.
