Hi, I am not sure if I have been pinpointed to the right place but i am trying to find some info on my stepfather's mother, her name was/is Greta Edmondson born about March 1909, we think in the Barow-in-furness area of Cumbria/Lancashire, she married a Harold Whittall and they had two children, a boy & a girl, the boy is my stepfather also called Harold, well Greta & Harold divorced when m y stepfather was 4 years old, he & his sister was brought up by their father Harold and an aunt, and they never saw or heard from their mother Greta again, my stepfather is in his 70's now and obviously realises that his mother may no longer be around, but he really would like to try to fill in some of the empty gaps, he wants to know what become of her over the years, she may even have married again, he thinks that she may have moved to the London area, possibly had more children, if anybody can help to fill in some of the missing years of Greta Edomdson for her son, it would be wonderful. (i was called then) lived at 14 coniston ave, then croft howe (a bungalow) at the bottom of croft head road? i to went to seascale primary and wyndham god how i hated school!! i made a lasting impression on most of seascale for always being ME!!! but im now zaran naylor and living in manchester, iv visited seascale in jan 03 its alittle different but still much as i remember it. My maiden name was Sylvia Newton. Can anyone help please, I'm getting desperate. I've been looking for Rachel Catlin for 2 years now with no luck. We left Millom School in 1963 and immediately lost touch with each other after being best friends for 3 years. She lived in a big house on the hill going up towards the golf course, sorry don't remember the name of the street, but it was up near the Cal der Girls school. I believe she still has a sister somewhere in the Seascale area (possibly on a farm)her name was Isabelle.
