  • i would like to say that, i myself live in shaldon,i am 16,and i believe these comments are not based on evidence, or truth for that matter, but are merely a stereotypical view of a teenagers life.i have alot of friends in the vilage also, who feel somewhat intimidated and disheartened by such comments and others who assume we are up to no good.we have no chioce but to hang around "a bench" or "a corner" simply because we have nowhere else to go.could you plaese keep the sarcasm down a bit, then you may get a better response from people my age so they can help give valid ideas.
  • don't foget the back beach we've all been there at some point or other, some more than others A coley....
  • The Ferry Shelter, the playing fields, that little sticky outy bit into the river past Ringmore Towers.
  • Stand in the ferry shelter all night and do nothing thats what people do and they skate about on the stupid little scooters all day and really annoy people
  • The Blue Hut, Teignmouth Back Beach
  • Parish Council meetings (last Wednesday of the month).
  • Ness Beach - stuff the Council!!!
  • the bamboo den next to the pond in the botanical gardens
  • Conversative Club at 5pm for a cheap pint and a game of snooker.
  • London Inn up until 5pm, when its "Happy hour" in the Clifford Arms 5-6 pm.
  • Shaldon is a masterpiece. A crown jewel in the heart of the South Devon coastline. With five pubs, a wine bar, a conservative club and hotel bar it is a great social place with even friendlier inhabitants. An absolute must for a few cheeky beers in the evening or during the day! But the Beachcomber has to be recomended as a marvelous place to eat a snack and take in the fresh air looking out over the river.
  • The best 'hook up' spot in the village must be the ferry shelter!!!
  • Ferry Boat Inn for Sure
  • Brigantine
  • Clifford Arms, definately. Five o'clock club for happy hour is a must. Or try the Ferryboat Inn on a sunny evening.
