Musical Instrument Shops and DJ Gear
- I would just like to say that the regular guitar shop i visit (a long trip to doncaster!!) has just opened in sheffield on eccleshall road, i have been a long term customer of theres for many years and its great to have a real guitar shop staffed by proffesionals on my doorstep, Wizard guitars everytime. i just got a les paul custome from them and its the best set-up guitar i have or will ever play!!
- Electro music, doncaster
- For guitars, Steel City on London Rd, for equipment, Sound Control. Doncaster is best tho - Electro Music. Sheffield is a bit crap at the moment. We need more Drum places!!!
- Drum shops: I've recently been over to Rockem Music, Canklow Rd in Rotherham - I went about two years ago and the stock was limited. This time I went it was jammed full of great gear- one of the best shops in Britain. The most cymbals and kits i'd ever seen...They know their stuff too - I have drum lessons there now as well
- sound control or look on london road for sum gd stuff
- Wavelength Music. Theyve always been great for me for guitars
- Sound Control on City Road is great. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable, they have a large range, and there's anough room to turn round without knocking over a precariously hung guitar.
- Well im from sheffield, but i travel to doncaster for my guitars and reapairs, this one shop wizard guitars was amaxing loads of vintage guitars and rare parts, no local shops seem interested in service or customer care anymore, well worth the travel and my son has lessons there now and hes learnt more in two months than he did after three years of school tutition. music shops should be about a passion for instruments and old classic gear, wizard wins every time certainly the best store in the north of england
- Hartley Electric Music on London Road. Pete can fix or mod anything that plays a tune. The guy has great ears and can do anything
- Got to be Steel City Guitars on London Road (under Candytown chinese restaurant, opposite Waitrose) They've got some amazing guitars and their prices are reasonable. Its the only guitar shop in Sheffield where they make you feel really welcome. Their website is good too. Impressive! Rock on Steel City!
- Drum Stop is good in Chesterfield, it's really close to Motorway so easy to get to and specialises just in Drums and Drum Stuff, the owner seems to know his stuff and always gets you a good deal.
Prices are good and they have some good stuff in like DW and Pearl and Tama and Mapex stuff. I got a Joey Jordison Snare and a DW 5000 Pedal fro mthere at a wicked price. Well worth the visit. You can Buy stuff off web site too: its on www.drum-stop.co.uk, they on Chatsowrth Road Nr Ford Garage.
- Definitely Steel City Guitars
- Steel City Guitars on London road
- A piano shop
- that one on manor! if you dont mind puttin urself in a dagerous position like haha
- Steel City Guitars. Best guitar shop for miles. Brilliant! I'm from Donny so its a pity they closed their shop in Doncaster :( I'll just have to make the trip to Sheffield again cos it's worth it :D
- Drum-Stop is a fab new drum specialist opening in Chesterfield on Chatsworth Road. They recently sponsored Warsop Carnival and Battle of the Bands by suppliying an excellent Premier Series Kit specially for the Event. The Owners seem really nice people and know what they are on about. They reckon to be able to get anyhting you need and can advise on everything. Their web site is worth a visit as they are giving a Black Panther Snare away for free !!! www.drum-stop.co.uk Watch out for this place it is gonna be brilliant for people all around the area that are into Drumming. A real specialist is just what we need locally.
- Best one locally has to be the big Steel City Guitars shop up on London Road. Guitar heaven! Lots of choice, fair on their prices and friendly staff who are really clued up. I would definitely shop there again!
- Wavelenth Music on London road is without doubt the best guitar shop in sheffield, they have everything you can every need, and the owner is a very experianced guitar player (I should know, he's my uncle!!!!)
- I recommend Steel City Guitars on London Road, they have a great range of guitars and guitar packs, and they know what they're talking about.
Wavelength on London Road is also good for guitars and pretty much any accessory you can think of.
- sound control, great selection of guitar and bass
- Quo Guitars, Firth Park, Sheffield for custom designs, makes, repairs and adaptations. Guitars can be seen & contacted on www.xiiidays.8m.com
- Steel City Guitars on London Road is really cool - loads of choice, good prices, helpful staff....highly recommended!!!!!
- Steel City Guitars on London Road is the best! Brilliant shop - loads of choice....chock full of stuff! They are excellent on their prices and will give you loads of their time and attention too. They're nice guys and did me an cracking deal! Highly recommended!
- You got FOX's on Snig Hill down town. Theres Wavelength Across fromt he national centre for popular music and one on london road but i cant remember what its called!
- The Accademy of Sound at Manor Top, formerly Carlsboro. Its a good shop and the staff are musicians and knowledgable in their sales field. A good place to meet other musicians.
- fox's it is wicked
- moon music on london road...bit minty but some great guitars
- Pawn Brokers nr needle exchange West St, Merry Monk Manor Top ask for Kev, good luck.
- Sound controls a kool place to visit a houge range of guitars an u can play them alllll yyaaaaayyy!
- The 1 on London Road, where i got my drums from, but cant remember the name of it!
- SOUND CONTROL its awsome you can play on any gitar you want for nothing.
- Academy of Sound - City Road next to KFC. Sound control - opposite where the national museum of popular music was built (near railway station). Wavelength music on London road is good out and out guitar shop. Academy of sound is a bit further out of town but much better service than Sound Control. The music shop in Broomhill is strictly sheet music and classic instruments. And there's foxes music at meadowhall for sheet music, pianos and guitars mainly
- Academy Of Sound - V. gud shop, Arbourthorne, City Road.
- London Road is the place to be with Moon music and Wavelength 20 yards apart. Both guitar oriented but brass/drums/music etc too. Also Hartley's electrical repairs (opposite moon) specialises in old valve amps and such. (he'll also mend yer video)
- The Academy of Sound, i'm not quite sure where it is, but it's good.
- across from where the old HMV used to be, there's a good 2nd hand shop, pretty cheap.
- Go down London Road - Moon Music, Wavelength etc for guitars and stuff. Wavelength always helpful and good at guitar repairs.
- The music shop, whitham rd., broomhill
- Wavelength on London Road. Loads and loads of lovely guitars, great staff (most of whom play guitar themselves and know eactly what they're talking about), tons of sheet music, and fairly high chances of bumping into various members of The Longpigs when they're not buggering about in America etc...Oh, and a coffee machine with a mind of its own. You have been warned...
