- Mermaid has live music every week, free - from Heavy Metal, to rock-a-billy... real mix, some great bands.
- Thees often old folk music up at the function hall in the library, as part od sheborne community something or other! The abbey hold some amazing concerts, once including Emma Kirkby a world renowned opera singer.
- rugby club, digby hall (sometimes), half moon, just look about and there will be something. Yeovil has a lot of gigs going on but if you wanna see a really big band better off going to london or bristol
- Some times the Sherborne School For Boys (mostly batty boys) have a quick jam on their Violins and Clarinets but really there is nothing for the average person to listen to (live).

- The 'Keys' and The Swan have some pretty good live music during the week and on weekends.
