Cheap Food
- the chippy at the reknown is excellent value and food is fresh and tasty,The Khan indian in high street shoebury is the best indian food I ever had or KC's in ness road for burgers, kebabs and such like is open till early hours
- Sanders is the place to go if out of date food is your thing. For a good bout of food poisoning, try their bacon. You can get it 10 days overdue for a very good price indeed.
- Kc's Best Plaice and Santa Lucia.
- Any greasy spoon cafe's
- The Shorehouse is currently undergoing several changes, bigger play area for kids up to 12y/o, NOT JUST FAST FOOD a wide selection of meals and good value for money. Great atmosphere and friendly staff always happy to help.
- About 20 places serve food, from pubs to fish & chip shops. The man who invented Chicken Tikka Masala (Tikka=pieces, masala = yoghurt and tomato sauce, chicken= well, chicken) runs the starred Polash Indian Restaurant and take away in West Road. The Khan in the 'village'. Italian restaurant and a pizzeria in West Road Other Chinese places in all three main commercial roads in Shoebury (West Road, Ness Road and Shoebury High Street ('the village')Two fish & chip shops also selling chinese food. Chicken/pizzas/burgers at KCs in Ness Road and near Asda's.
- There is a very good Indian restaurant in West Road called The Polash - apparently it has a very good reputation nationally for super Indian food.....certainly not the 'run of the mill' style of Indian usually associated with a small town like Shoeburyness....it is not unknown for celebrities to visit!
- go to kc's for dodgy kebabs and even dodgier men. Honestly though, you have to try the potato surprise. Asdas is great though, four chicken wings for 99p!
