Pubs
- Parsons barn (under new management with Jason) has turned a good leaf, ok pub grub, clean and now even feels welcomming! or parsons barn near shoebury corner for real ales, posh nosh and even posher people!
- Captain Mannerings
- The Shore House - We went there a couple of years ago and were not impressed with the food. And it isn't that cheap either. Well we now have an 8 month old baby and thought we would have a walk along the seafront and stop there for a bit to eat. Needless to say the food hasn't improved. We had a sharing nachos £3.99 it took 20 minutes to come out (this was at 12:30pm, not the height of the luch time). When it arrived there was a handful of tortilla chips, probably a tablespoon of cheese, not even melted, and a small pot of sour cream and salsa. I did take it back to say we weren't happy with it but they only added a few more sprinkles of cheese. Certainly not a place to go if you like value for money. Suggest trying somewhere else (there are plenty of reasonably priced establishments in the area with good quality food)and then taking your children to Kids Kingdom.
- Any Pub that serves real ales (CAMRA PUBS)
- Shoebury Hotel has justr relaunched its pool room, now 50p per games and a jukebox, so you can listen to your own sad choice of music
- The Shorehouse - standard Brewer's Fayre family pub/restaurant soon to be 'upgraded' to a Brewsters family pub. The Angel - Free house, beer good, food good but not cheap. Parsons Barn - average family pub. Shoeburyness Hotel - good and cheap, suffers a bit from old reputation when Shoebury was a garrison. The Mannerings - had a good reputation when it opened but has been a bit patchy following several changes of ownership, does food.
- Eagle Club, Conservative Club, Captain Mannerings, and the Shoebury Hotel and Shore House.
- The Shore House ....definitely a kids heaven.......no good for romantic meals...bouncy castle in the summer and kids running about everywhere! Ok if you have kids but no good otherwise!! Food not great....just fast food.
- The Angel (North Shoebury Road/Poynters Lane)
