  • Both the Heywood Hotel and the Redcliffe House Hotel have been demolished. There are NO hotels in Skelmorlie. There is only eating house left too - the Chinese at Meadow Place.
  • The Heywood was demolished a couple of moths ago leaving only one pub in the village - the Eggy
  • Both the Heywood and the Redcliffe have been demolished - there are now NO hotels in the village. The only liscenced premises are the Eglinton Bar/Inn, the Golf Club and the Bowling Club. The only Restaurant/Cafe is on the site of the old Strathclyde House (demolished too).

  • the egi.....its either quiet or a good laugh..but you'll always see someone you know (or someone who knows you !) i like the station..i know techincally its wemyss bay but who cares... and u can get a nice quiet drink in the heywood - just dont sit next to the fire...
  • At last the arrival of a new pub! Permission has finally been granted for the erection and licensing of the new premises at the site of the former Park House.Don't concern yourself too much H, your regulars are barred before its even built, Ha Ha.
  • The Egi Bar is always hosting fun events. Regular quiz nights and cocktails nights. More recently there have been live music nights. Local band Human Law are playing regular gigs and the Glasgow Songwriter went down a storm last month in their first of hopefully many appearances.
  • Eglinton Bar in Upper Skelmorlie, Golf Club above the village, the Heywood Hotel and the Redcliffe House Hotel, both on Shore Road.
  • The Eggie is the place to be. Helen and Ewan will give you a warm welcome and serve the best pint in the West of Scotland.
