The Worst Things in Skelmorlie, North Ayrshire*

The entirely missable and worth mentioning because of it

You can tell us more about Skelmorlie.

The Worst Things
  • the shore road post office, the guy's unhelpful, unfriendly and agressive, can never get anythin you're looking for in there.
  • The public bar in the Eggy when its shut!
  • One of the worst things in Skelmorlie is the Post Office on Shore Rd. Always when I pass the post office it is closed. Even roundabout 5 pm it is closed. The salesperson is very unfriendly and gives you the feeling that you have disturbed him when you entered his shop. I wonder if it is his shop or if he is employed by someone. If so .... fire him and employ someone who is willing to make business. That post office is absolute useless.
  • i'm sick of the state of that road going up to the golf course, i worked it out that if the price of the new road was divided between all the members it would cost £7 each. less than the cost of the damage to their vehicles during a lifetime of trying to bounce up and down the road.
  • some people shouldnt have shops post office that is ive never met a more miserable couple in all my life ,hey okay ive got to say i gave them a chance but for god sake some people take the rip or what : ) run a post office ,my arse i could get better service in a morgue SKELMORLIE POST OFFICE for none of your needs no stock no smile no papers after 3 god awful jumpers for sale wont serve you even if its 1 min to go till opening they can kiss my arse before ill go back
  • no nightclubs...no chippy..its a disgrace !!
  • the price of taxis at 1am. Waiting at Largs taxi rank at 3am after all the so called 24hour taxis wont answer a phone because they have them unplugged from the wall. At least in Greenock they are quick to take the £13.The mud on the football pitch is a pain innaw.
  • The double yellow lines which are going to be painted round both sides of Innes Park Road will be a pain in the arse when I'm dropping off my children at school.I might have to park at the cross, thus causing them to have to walk 100 metres, the poor little darlings.
  • The worst thing is deciding which of the pubs to go in. I usually stand at the cross for a while listening to the music coming from them all and watching where everyone else is pouring into.
  • Nosey neighbours.
  • The lack of shops and things for the kids to do out of school as none of them seem to play in the woods around the village any more. It could do with another pub too!
  • EVERYTHING ELSE! (just kidding)
  • The Post Office, some people shouldn't have shops.
