You can tell us more about Solihull.

Skateboarding Spots
  • Try Upper Precinct in Coventry, it makes Solihull look like a kindergarten skate park - you can get a train from Solihull for a couple of quid.
  • Me and my mates skate solihull every weekend nearly, we know all the good spots, right, Magistrates 4 set, Bp sketchy 4 set (You need people to hold the doors open to get an alright run up.) Morisons sketchy small 6 , you need someone to catch you at the bottom to stop you abshin your head on the wall when you land, trust me, i know haha, Umm, Hospital has a sketchy 3 but the people from the church tell you off for skating there, Theres the new underground car park right by the hospital, mint manual pads and stuff, some of it waxed (By us. :)) you can skate there for ages and not get kicked out, this is one of my favorites, Tudor Grange park, Bp had an underground mellow flatbank, Theres the massive BP 9, If your daring enough to go to solihull school go on a Sunday, less likely to get kicked out, Theres an awesome 7, Sick run up and landing and just round corner theres a 4 set which is good, don't skate there for long though, you get kicked out and fined :/
  • Anyone ever skate magistrates court 4?? Mintest set you'll find in solihull. Decend run up and smooth landing. Beats the sketchy one in brueton. The rest, like the ones in shirley are ok. If neone knows any good street spots in shirly preferably a nice stair set. mby a 4 or 5. Light hall school has an ok 3 set but be careful where you take ur run up because the slabs are dodgey in some places. Word of warning........ The 3 set by the church. Dont do it. I did it and you land on gravely stuff. Your board stops and you fly forward and grase all you hands and knees.... Not very nice eh? . Tech guy 2.... Not too bad but im goofy so all i can do is ollie down it..... Want to try the three but theres too many cars. Was going to try it on xmas day but Im going away =[.
  • Well, i am a genuine grew up in, lived my whole life in, if im not skating town im skating in, solihull skater and im proud! I aent a snob, cos i live in the ghetto bit know as shirley. 1.Shirley... skate parks decent has a pyramid, 3 set with dodgey rail, rail on flat and usual ramps. Be aware that the coping sticks out and you might get mugged after 9. Theres a new 2 set and a beefy 3 at lombard, to find it go out the park and left for about a mile on the stratford road. Theres a 3 set at the church, which is on the way to lombard. 2.Solihull... the parks alright, its now split into 3 sections. There is a small street style coarse mainly banks but theres a gnarley lil quater to practise on. The 2nd part is a miniramp, 4ft with alright trannie a 6ft extension, copin is sweet and worn in so no need to waste wax. The 3rd bit is known as the new bit to locals. It has a roll in, volcano, sweet spine, huge flat bank and a hip transfer, also theres a rail and boxes. There are a alot of gnarley skate spots around. If your in morrisons check out the 6 set by the huge car park, lovley waxed curbs at the side aswell. If you go out of the morrisons car park opposite solihull skool turn left and theres a mellow flat bank next to BP. Better still on sunday cross the road and by the offices theres a 2 and 4 set and a bank. Also look for signs to the hospital, go straight through the car park and go up to the uncovered car channel and find the legendary bobs ledge, very nice manuel pad with drop at end. Also theres a waxed curb and 2 set behind kings fish and chip shop as you get off the bus. There you have it! A good days skating in solihull, oh and if you snap your deck dont need to go home. 2 seasons near the fountain in the town centre sells decks mainly british like blueprint and enuff, sometimes east on a good day. If you want a wider selection get the train to town and go to Ideal 175 Corporation Street.
  • Well I'm proud to be a Birmingham skater but living in Hall Green I sometimes take the 6 up to the two skateparks, Shirley and Tudor Grange. Both are pretty shoddy, but Tudor grange has the better atmosphere - you're far less likely to get stabbed, I was beat up at the Shirley one which I wasn't too stoked about. The Grange has a mini, 4ft with a 5ft extension on both sides. Actually, it isn't an extension, it's just half 5ft and half 4ft. Trannies are a little tight which is more noticable on the 5ft half, but it's fun. The street course isn't even worth mentioning, suffice to say that there's a 3.5ft quater that is nearly vert. Go figure. Shirley has better obstacles but worse construction. The quaters don't go all the way to the ground and the coping doesn't sit back, it sticks out so much that you really have to force your truck stalls in. Got a nice mini pyramid and a weird ramp to wall thing, I claimed front rocks! If you leave the park and go left up the stratford road, you come to this nice mini - bank thing that's nice to have a carve on, tricks are pretty hard but I'm claiming the frontside flip as well, oh and frontside no-comply...
  • Any quiet street uninhabited by the conservative old age pensioners
  • We now have a skate perk thats not finished yet but who the HELL CARES!!! its next to the play area thing in tudor grange park Were not all stuck up snobs, some of us anyway. I come from yardley so dont come callin me no snob or ill break ur legs!!! Lol
  • bobs ledge - opposite the hospital, hospital ledge, behind kings - waxed kerb and 2 set, behind safeways/bhs flatbank + high kerbs, breuten four set.
  • Theres a good spot in the multi story next to safeway, on the third floor, no camras and its dry wen wet!
  • Dorridge= waxed curbs (sometimes) and a weird platfromy thing a curb high 4 manuals, etc, Dorridge school has a set of 5 and a trick over brick wall type thingy Knowle= Knowle school has a set of 3, 4 and 6 and a drop, check the rails at the car garage at night!Milverton road has waxed curbs, Arden school skate park on certain weekday nights Solihull= BHS with planters and curbs, Safeway is f****d now curbs have lost their wax and grid lines have been put everywhere, hospital has curbs and rails, hospital drop is ok but landing is sketch, brueton park 4, schools in area
  • Bk safeways is a safe way (sory dat woz bad!) but its quite smal. de car prks alrite theres another carprk - lode lane we think - dats ok 2. got nice curbs.
  • A good place to skate in the SOlihull region is Knowle School whuich has some good jumps and good curbs. There is also the Dorridge area and Bentley Heath carpark where a box rail is sometimes out. And finally at the Youth Club at Arden School
  • about 15 steps, hand rail, one major drop of behind Enzo`s in the square in dorridge. No idea about in the solihull shopping area. Few grinding rails behind precienct
  • Set of 4 in Brueton Park
  • hospital carpark has a phat white gap that is new and word it out that they are getting a park
  • -Bottom of Safeway's Car park has some waxed curbs, and a sweet surface, when they don't grit it. -The small church opposite solihull school again has some nice curbs and fo those who dare, a huge acid drop of the shed...........ankles have been broken -The hospital carpark opposite beaties
  • The back of Beatie's before Safeways - the most popular hang out for you baggy trouser lovers
  • I would think the footpath from the town center to Tudor grange park would be good ?
