The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
- Fun French and Spanish clubs for children aged 3-11.
With over 5,000 centres in the UK, Le Club Français and El Club Español lead in language tuition for children through songs, games, stories and activities.
Established in 1985, LCF UK Ltd now teaches over 50,000 children nationwide each week through its structured and proven courses, designed to stimulate children's natural enthusiasm for language and communication.
We offer fun after-school, lunchtime and nursery clubs and supply language teachers and resources to primary schools. We also provide an interactive resource offering educational, fun on-line learning in French, Spanish and English.
See http://www.lcfclubs.com/lorrainehughes for further information on clubs in Solihull.
- Hockley Heath, Solihull gets a new Pain Relief Centre from mid June. If you hurt yourself give John Williams at Atlas Pain Relief a call.
- A certain Amanda Rice-Davis went to the old Sharmans Cross Girls School. (Mandy Rice-Davis...who with Christine Keeler was instrumental in The Profumo Affair in the 60's)
- Dont bother with Solihull. Even if you do make it, skateboarders, BMXers and, well, pretty much anyone who isn't wearing Reebok tracksuits and/or Rockports is hugely unwelcome by the bastard kids in the area... Or anyone actually..
- I've lived all over the place and Solihull takes some beating - nice countryside on the doorstep, decent centre, friendly people, and Brum's 30 mins away: what's not to like?!
- Over confident teenagers, mostly ugly. General low-level of education amongst all who inhabit town centre (see other comments). Actually there are very few skaters. And whores. Class B/C drugs not a problem, class A maybe a day. Pubs shit. Kebabs crap, try Shirley. However, pissing in Bruton Park IS a tradition and also a sport that all visitors to the town should embrace.
- I have to say I do wonder why the author lives in Solihull, since he hates it so much. I wonder whether that person now shops in Touchwood it would be nice to know. I was against Touchwood but I thing it's miles better than the Kingfisher - don't you?? Any yes I agree that some people are a bit above themselves in Solihull but having worked in customer servies in central Solihull you don;t have to be rich to be a pain in the derriere. Hope you enjoyed my comments
- there r a load of mint cars which cruise round solihull espically the sapphire cossie u know who u r and u r fuckin fit

- Solihull came 234th out of 376 local authorities for quality of living according to a September 2001 survey by Experian. Sounds bad - and it is - but it easily beat every other West Midlands authority!
- wel wen and if u com 2 bham rem 2 visit and @ least say hi 2 us!!!!
- Shopping centre is OK now it's pedestrianised.
- Amazed to see that people who probably don't vote Tory are enthusiastic about this smug, stupid slice of middle England that deserves to be shipped to middle America. Land Rovers are great cars but look dumb driving round suburbia. Solihull leeches off Birmingham for its economy and craps overs the lovely Warwickshire countryside. Calling all Solihull youth: get out as soon as you can, find your own mind, meet some DIFFERENT people with DIFFERENT lives.
- Solihull is on the right side of Birmingham. Our big neighbour is a fantastic city and it's great living near...but not in Birmingham. Also, Stratford, Warwick and Oxford are all within an hour away. Its got a great Sixth Form College too - a big hello to the class of 1990!
- Top hint : Solihull is on the whole SHIT so dont bother going i have been trapped here for 12 years and I hate hate hate it!
- The best person to go to if you have backache, neck pain or headaches is an osteopath. The one who works inside Rouse Optician on Warwick Road near the Barley Mow is brilliant. He has a website at www.myspine.freeserve.co.uk The staff are really nice there. The specs are good too. It helps to take a friend with you to listen. Be prepared for a few clicks, but not the mousey kind!
- SOLIHULL IS SHIT
