• not enuf buses at all!
• At the moment (2005) chavvy kids are ruining everything with their caps and hoodies. They look like fools and cause trouble and rob stuff.
• Weekends and holidays, the sky darkens and 'dragnets' around our throats to suffocate us with rudey hell spawn
• where have all the fit men gone?! and what's with all these speed bumps?
• The rudes
• all the rudies
• Who thought the oil refinery was on Canvey Island. Are they blind, its on the mainland at Coryton.
• Ever tried to get out of benfleet by bus? Buses are getting better but they are still crap. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. Annoying kids everywhere.
• stuck up poncies,the lot of you.benleet is ok,but thats all.
• The mindless pathetic yob element that is determined to make Benfleet a not so good place to be.
• The North side of Benfleet. Flats above Alldays. The people with no money in Benfleet just drag it down. Being near to Canvey Island - SINK THEM ALL!
• Me being a twit and losing touch with all the old mates from 1981-1983-ish.
• Tarpots and kids that thing they're hard hanging round street corners. Go home and get a life.
• the idiots who done the site
• The lack of sporting facilities and nearby clubs
• The people. Most seem to have a large chip on their shoulder and most of the kids hang around street corners looking for trouble!
• Jumped up, common little essex girls (who always seem to be from appleton), a bit of gang rivalry, scary after dark
• The Benfleet/saafend lingo can someimes be hard for "outsiders" to understand. The slappers with blond streaks at the front of their hair that walk around in fake leather skirts and mini vest tops in the height of winter. Essex boyz (Shaved head, ford escort, joint in hand)
• Lazy parents who drive 100 yards to drop the kids off at school,never could understand this???? seems like a major social gathering for about 3 hours every morning,wish i could give out dodgy parking tickets
• The fact that they built a flipping refinery on Canvey.
• There's nothing to do in benfleet itself except pub
• Too many Essex girls and jumped up yuppies who wouldn't know a decent days work if it smacked them in the face. People who don't know that South Benfleet is in fact different to Benfleet and Thundersley, (check your history books).
• Too near to Pitsea and Basildon and a strange place called VANGE. Answers on a postcard as to who made that one up and what does it mean?
• everone knows everyone.
• Benfleet is way too close to Canvey Island.
• The rather nauseating smell arising from Canvey's Oil Refineries, and the view of said Refineries.
• The lack of things to do without going too far. The fact that everytime a pub applies for a late licence all the old people in Benfleet club together and appeal, leading to 11.00 closing times even on a Friday.
• For a town with a population around the 60,000 mark (ie:bigger than all the surrounding areas,with the exception,of course,to Southend and Basildon)there is a cronic lack of clubs (everything seems to be on Canvey)
• From the early days of Benfleet being considered "the countryside" it has now become one big housing estate with much of the farmland disappearing.
