- you have all got it wrong, its all about 'the jack', its a propa pub, stinks of fags, few 'essex girls' in there and the bit of 'fell off the back of the lorry' dealings, wat more could you ask for!
- There are no real decent pubs, just the Jack, Knight of Aveley etc where the alcys go
- The Royal Oak is not bad. Great for kids, nice staff and the beer may be a bit overpriced but the best in Ockendon. Good food too. Prince does a good sunday lunch. Don't bother with the Archer it's rubbish.
- the white horse is cool very entaining if bored...
- the archer is great if you like talking about the latest pokemon cards and like the younger looking lady....
- The pricne is the place to be 8 nights a week. It is the local emploment agent for unemployable university student, most of which look like they long to be the other side. Saturday it has a gathering for the local west ham supporters where they celebrate their lastest defeat.
- CHECK OUT THE ARCHER PUB GARRON LANE. ITS KICKING ON A THURSDAY NIGHT. WITH GARAGE MUSIC FROM A RESIDENT DJ MR POTTER PLAYING GARAGE MIXED WITH A LITTLE BIT OF OLD STYLE MUSIC YOUR UP FOR A TOP NIGHT OUT. THURSDAY NIGHT IS ALSO CHEEP NIGHT TOO....WICKED!
- Royal Oak, The Green. Very friendly staff, good atmosphere, good food in large portions. Quiz night every Wednesday.
- Dog and Partridge in North Stifford
Lovely country pub with friendly atmosphere. Serves delicious food at
reasonable prices. Family room and childrens play area outside.
