- Whats with all the hate? Actually most people are chatty and friendly here! The Ockendon Academy is full of bright students too! Yeah, it isn't the prettiest place but it isn't that bad! Especially Mardyke is lovely place.
- South Ockendon ia an ugly place to what it use3d to be....

- I think the Ockendon school has improved loads and noone who does not go there has a right to put it down, a new building has been added and the atmosphere is friendly so i do not believe it should be on the pull the building down list it just aint right. Students work hard at the Ockendon school work hard to acheieve and all acheieve amazing thigs with help from all the staff!
- We need more stuff to do for kids, teenagers and young adults. There isn't enough here...we need more disco's and stuff especially for younger people.
- dont go to south ockendon unless you havent got a choice. South opckendon is a complete shithole and your wasting your time if you go there as south ockendon hasnt got shit!
- The Mardyke river is a rareity in that it flows as a tributary of the River Thames in the opposite direction to which the Thames actually flows!!!. I believe this river is the parish boundry.

- Basically, my father, his girlfriend and her son live in South Ockendon and ive been there loads of times. I think that South Ockendon is a shithole. Theres really nothing there. Its boring there and all the people there are arrogant gits.
