Hi everyone my name is James Bruce and I am looking for an old friend who I last saw in 1999. Her name back then was Krystal Brown, I say that because I'm not sure if she's got married now. Hi there, does anyone remember me? I lived in South Ockendon from 1969-2003, went to Somers Heath, Mardyke, Culverhouse and Palmers. Lived in Cruick Avenue from 69-88 and 2001-03, Peartree Close in between. Drank in all the pubs, chiefly Troubadour, Knight of Aveley, and Royal Oak. Be nice to hear from any old faces.

Also from Holy Cross RC School a girl called Noona Canning(s) red hair and freckles, I was about 7yrs old, i remember being very upset as when summer holidays were over and we went back to school, Noona never returned! I think I heard the family had moved away or emigrated.

    I remember you Anne, I remember going on your horse and it bolting me across the field with me hanging on! I remember Sharon Champman she was a good friend and often wonder what she is up to these days! Also Pauline Merry, would like to know how they are all getting on and where abouts they are living?

anybody remember the good old days at culverhouse school and there youth club, god able to walk the streets in SO at 10pm via chris james chippy at derwent parade before going home. then after leaving there in 76 the beer was better than chips so it was of to the prince of wales, the oak, the plough, the jack, the knight of aveley, or the archer then an indian in upminster but not with brian mills... more >>

Is there anyone out there who was there between those dates? Mrs Impey was the head mistress, can't remember any other names, shows what an impression she made on me, terrified!

    I remember Mrs Impey......terrified & boring spring to mind! I was at Culverhouse for only a few months before we emigrated to the States in Dec '61. I was Glynis Evans then. Now living in Birmingham (UK not Alabama!)

Hi. My name is Cliff Minors, and I lived in South Ockendon from 1965 to 2003 when I moved to Evesham, near Worcester. I lived in Cruick Avenue mainly, apart from a few years in Peartree Close, drank in most of the pubs, and was at Culverhouse from 1973 to 1978. Would be really great to hear from anyone who remembers me.
