• the laughing pakistani ,still looks the same as he did in the 1970's still limps ,still laughs,and is still from the non indian side of partitioned india ,is he immortal ? the original manic street preacher form the precinct circa 1978-1985 full priestly attire,balding and bent almost double ,gave a great townie sermon . . the dancing man,netly firs . . . did you ever see him ? Get Smart best rockabilly buskers ever (circa 1984-1988,now reborn as the Black Kat Boppers Roy Phillips running to Vospers in his yellow donkey jacket and beating the bus every day (circa 1980 ish )
• The man with the teletubbies, his name is Paddy. I know him and he is really nice, try talking to him.
• the guy with the bird whistle.. he sales them.. odd and yes rather annoying
• chavs are ok realy, they're pretty sweet some of em, loonies are everywhere-some asian rasta barks at people. HAHAHAHA!! keep clear of the parks when ur on ur own.
• some chinesse twat with pipes outside westquay! AHHHHHHHHH my ears are burning! especially working in a shop opposite him for like 8hours! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

• There is an old Asian man who looks like Genie, with a long white beard and sky blue eyes. He usually sits on a bench near Nationwide. I always see him. Is he really there? He peers right into my soul he does.

• You asked the whereabouts of the long haired busker who used to play outside Tyrell & Greens, Southampton. His name was Kevin but was known to all as 'Maryland'. He was well respected as a musician locally and was technically a very good guitarist. He died of cancer about ten years ago while in his forties.

• Crazy homeless guy in the parks around the city centre (mainly next to Debenhams / Kimber Halls of Residence) who swears and throws his shoes at people... oh, and pisses himself!

• a local character: WOOKEY hes this wierdo i went to school with (weston park boys) who tags along with alt crowds shagging anything with legs, either sex.

• There's an oldish balding man with black parka who strides around Shirley, Banister Park and town who freaks me out - guaranteed to see him at least once a week.
• Obvious choice: Old man with tambourine shakin teletubbies.
• i saw the man with the teletubbies in portsmouth the traitor!!! either him or his identical twin brother anyway ..
• There are many with various attributes that in these modern times are almost acceptable..except for the asian bloke with a foot long tongue who stares at you whilst licking his cheek.
• Re the the T&G busker, I worked on the window display team at T&G for 4 years, I adored our 'personal' busker especially when he did my favourite Dylan songs. He brightened our days,Once when he was being hassled by an over attentive woman he turned to us, put his hands on the window and mouthed let me in! He died too young but Ill never forget him.
• There's loadsa great singers and they deserve a few quid from us that are more well off. They work so hard and they're there every day of the week so please could you be kind and stop to listen and give them some of your change before you go. They're worth it.

• The old bloke who hauls his Teletubbies up the hill from the train station. He's even been spotted as far afield as Gosport you know
• Scary guy with teletubbies style one man band type thing - very odd.
• hobos with dogs that hate skaters. the best part is they do'nt have leads because thier hardend traveller masters can't afford them after pigging out on bk and pizza hut all day. their teeth are sharp. (the dogs that is!!)

• The funniest busker ever - out on Friday nights singing "All the Germans Are Wankers" and asking for money for drugs (nice and honest) !!!

• Southampton is a great place for street entertain,ewnt theres always bands playing sometimes even a few fairground rides for small children theres people dressed up wondering up and down Its a good lively fun atmoushpere
• Big issue seller wearing combat trousers, black jacket and a beanie outside westkey: "Who wants to be ripped off?!" & "Thats tony blair for you..." are the two most common things you hear him shout :)
• The old man with a big beard who sits in the above bar shopping area who has tellytubbys+elvis who dance!!!!
• Man with Teletubbies. Can't BELIEVE he is still going.
• Old Jimmy, the Bedford Place drunk is still around. He's this drunk Scotsman with a moustache. Was sory to hear of the passing of the Tyrell & Green Busker.
• There's a George Harrison type who'll play 'Streets Of London' and 'Hotel California' if you ask him nicely.
• in the main street in so'ton there is an old dude with his 'one man band'

• I'm afraid the busker from outside tyrell & green's died a few years ago - or so I believe. But the man with the teletubbies is good.
• Whatever happened to the Tyrell & Green busker? There was a long-haired bloke with a guitar who used to busk outside the Tyrell & Green department store.
• Weird bloke who stands outside River Island with an accordian and lifesize cardboard cutouts of the Teletubbies which dance.
• There are normally some fairly average tending to mediochre things occur on the High Street each weekend - that's about it except on the underpass near to St.Mary's (the red light area) where there are some good buskers on occasion, although its not the kind of place you'd want to hang out for very long.
