• Saints = SHIT! The quays has a good gym and riverside park in bitterne park is good for playing footie with m8s! i perfer to go and surf in bournemouth, get a train from southampton to bournemouth and surf! or skate in the park in city centre!
• In southampton you don't need to pay to see the football, you can simply hear the cheers and drones.

• Specialised Sailing (www.4boards.co.uk) - an excellent windsurfing and kitesurfing shop which gives student discounts. Demo equipment available. lots of ex demo and discount stock. its in Fawley village which is near calshot activities centre (also worth checking out). this is about 7 miles from the centre of southampton and u can catch the hourly number 58 bus from the highstreet or the train station.
• Quays swimming pool is good for kids
• Flemming Park in Eastleigh is cheap, excellent value and caters for all! If you are lass - try Legs Bums and Tums on MOnday and Tone to the Bone on Wednesday with Belinda! Well worth it!
• The Dell is no more, St.Mary's is now the home of the Saints. Large green tracts surround Southampton, the Common is the place for ball games..so don't be surprised if you see men in lycra shorts hanging about in the bushes near the Bassett Pub.
• Well for sport there's only one that I know which is in a place called Totton (not far out of the city center) which has a great rugby team called Tottonians. They train on Sundays at 10:30am and it's fun to watch. For all ages
