  • Odeon is shit cos they wouldn't show Rambo.
  • Odeon southend - the toilets are disgusting and they have weird lightbulbs in there so you can't see if the seat is covered in wee or not
  • The sweets in the Odeon are stale.
  • the best cinema has gotta be everyones favorite, the odeon in southend high street. dosent seem like it with the sad grungers outside whsmiths only a few feet away. but its actually really good once you get inside. also another really good cinerma is the one in the festival lesure park in basildon. actually its better than the odeon.
  • The Odeon, where all the DOom Cookies hang, and the homeless beg
  • odeon expensive but all the new films showng all day.
  • The Odeon is the only one but it's getting a bit scummy now. There was one in Alexander Street about 10 years ago but that's now some sort of small time theatre. The old Odeon is still standing although all boarded up and makes the place look even more untidy.
  • the odeon is ace,
  • well the only cinema in southend that springs to mind is the new Odeon by Virgin, although there prices for food and rink are through the roof,.....infact i think it would be cheaper to go to the Ritz and bring back the whole buffet in a hired limo, rather than buy a packet of minstrels at the odeon.
  • The Odeon Multiplex should be ashamed of itself. After many, many interrupted films due to kids (even childish 15 year olds) I eventually boycotted the Odeon. Why don't they have ushers in with audiences to stop noisy sods? I guess it's the £ factor, but they lose more in lost sales this way. Idiots.
  • theres only one, the odeon. you could go basildon but it aint worth it.
  • I would travel back in time to the old Odeon the screens were the size of wembley.
  • odean....go to bluewater and get yo'self one those comfy sofas....
  • Yes come to southend cinema and sit with children and/or scum. And people who eat crisps during a show. or just try and chat up their girlfriend.
  • well southends cinema is bigger than most, 8 screens i think, so if u wanna see a film thats the place to go.
  • Southend Odeon
  • New Odeon is the nuts, cant beat it. Quasar used to be good, but no-one goes there anymore, they all go to megazone at rayleigh. Bowling at the Kursaal is good, but i still prefer the old one on the pier, shame that burned down. Good point is you can have a beer whilst you play though (they have a bar at the Kursaal).
  • We have a odean, its quite big and has the lastest movies showing. It is also quite cheap it is about £4 for adults and cheaper for kids. I would reccomend getting your snacks from somewhere else as it is so expensive (thats probs where they get all the profits).
  • Odeon cinema at the top of the highstreet, 8 screens. Bowling in the Kursaal, as well as arcades and a bar, good fun. Lots of Arcades along the seafront to.
  • 8 screen Odeon like we have anything else ! Its ok
  • Theres only one cinema and thats the odeon
  • ODEON is alrite, and u can get stuff on wit ur missus n they don't care! U can do a pill n they don't complain, n u can throw popcorn at the trendies n they don't care! Kursaal Bowling, and theres Quasar on the Sea-Front, but it's better at Rayleigh Weir!
  • Bloody Multiplex next to Vic Circus, or Plaza as it is now humourously known. Projections club on Monday evenings for films actually worth seeing. The Classic cinema is now a bloody Halfords.
  • Odeon is RUBBISH! Any vaguely off beat film, or heaven forbid foreign films aren't shown. It's there to serve the majority who like to watch colouful shit flash past their eyes. it's a crap place and the Minstrels are severly overpriced
  • the cinema has 8 screenS?? great fun..... bowling in kursaal is good and quasar in mr b's in the seafront arcades is also good
  • well there only one really now thats odeaon at top of town!
  • the multiplex is ok still fairly nice
  • The Cinema is alright in Southend but I wouldn't bother if it means much travel, a better one can be found in most towns in England!
  • We have a great 8 screen cinema, and it's well cool. Bowling and Quasar are both down the seafront.
  • well, the new odeon's good, but why does the film I go to see always get shown on the top floor and there's always loads of loony kids piling in the lift???
  • There's the multi screen odean which show everything. Kursall Late night bowling is pretty cool. midnight to about 2:30, all the lights off and luminous balls ;) Even better after a night at the pub :)
  • Odeon.
  • only good on a Monday afternoon
  • THe odeon is MASSIVE. But the ABC, which can't afford good films, has a great nostalgic feal to it.
  • The Odeon has 8 screens and charges mad prices. £5.50 for the back row on a Friday night? Hello? Go for the "premium seats" (it's worth it, trust me) cos the normal ones make your arse go numb after 40 minutes. All the other cinemas have closed. We used to have 4 at one point. A cannon, 2 odeons (one in westcliff, now halfords) and an ABC (now the royals). They had to go, cos each one was the size of Surrey.
  • Brand new multiplex just like all the others. Go play Quasar down the seafront (Mr. Bees) instead. Failing that, the Kursaal has just been finished being redone and they've got a late opening bar and q bowling alley to replace the one that burned down a few years ago.
  • It's all muliplexes now - whatever happened to cinemas where you could actually snog in the back row without giving yourself a hernia, where the 'Here Bert, this is the place' trailor was often the best thing shown all evening, or wherelast weeks popcorn and fag packets were still left on the floor? Ahh my long lost youth.
