Flamenco aficionados in Southend are currently setting up a meeting place for those interested in practising dance, guitar and singing flamenco, and to help everyone develop their skills.

For those interested in learning to dance, we have a professional flamenco dance teacher available to give classes here in Southend.

    Southend Flamenco has organised an introductory beginner's course for those who want to learn how to dance flamenco. Classes start on Thursday 4 November, and will be held at the Storehouse (Coleman Street Community Centre) from 7 to 9 pm. The cost will be £5 per session. More details availble on our Facebook page:

    A series of 3 Flamenco Workshops has been organised at Clifftown Studios, Nelson Street, Southend, SS1 1EF for 16, 23 and 30 January 2010.

    The teacher is professional dancer Sandra La Espuelita, and the event will be suitable for beginners.

Am arranging a school reunion for those of us who attended between 1971-1975 at Westborough High for Girls in Westcliff. It will be held at Southend on sea March 2010 (TBC) depending on response. If you want to come let me know, there will be a cost to go twoards venue, food etc but will let you know nearer time.
