Demolish It Now Building in Southport, Merseyside*

Places that need to be levelled

You can tell us more about Southport.

Demolish It Now Building
  • All those horrible new buildings right by the sea - Frankie and Bennys etc - and get rid of the huge carpark while you're at it. The Council must have received a nice kickback to agree to that one.
  • The big library on lord street, dont like books an it looks a funny colour.
  • ART CENTER BY MC DONALDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • council building! see how they like it!!!!!!!!
  • the ribble bus station at the front of morrisons it makes lord street look awfull
  • les dodd's snooker hall
  • The train station.
  • The casino which was planted in the middle of no where.
  • This is a dead heat between the Hypermarket behind the Ribble bus station and the 'Ocean Plaza' cinema, but their demolision would have to be co-ordinated with replacing the features that were originally demolished to make way for them: the most detailed Model Village in Europe, and the Victorian Open-air Lido, respectively.
  • Cartell
  • debenhams the albert and the no marks that go in it
  • Dave Winns doss hole
  • That damn bloody Pleasureland... it has to be the shittest Amusement Park in the world...
  • Any new buildings which have been given planning permission at the cost of demolishing the Victorian architecture that gives Southport it's atmosphere. Property developers who are trying to cash in on the recent price boom should be made to repair and re-instate the original buildings- e.g. 122 Hampton Road. If people wanted to live in a Milton KLeynes, then they would choose to.
  • Piss pot railway station, bloody mcD's(and the 13 year old hardmen.) The 2,000 old folk prisons.
  • arcade sports, new deal uk -- oooops alreary done
  • Old people Homes!
  • greives hall, its been Burnt 3 times and only a bit of it is left
  • meols cop high!!!!!!!!
  • Southport Baths. The most pathetic swimming baths in the north west.
  • For the information of the person against criticism. Southport is recognised as Lancashire by the National Government and it is only locally in Merseyside because the records have never changed. Evan Blue Peter said it was Lancashire!!! Many "scousers" move to Southport cause they think it is better here and they think they will be "posher" if they come. I tell you now, you are so much better in Liverpool, and Southport kids are as common as dirt!!!
  • the safeway bocks building!
  • Arts Center! OMG how da fuk can u fink dat da arts center is cool 4 fuk sake! Get real!
  • Danny Holmes' house (the ugly son of a bitch)
  • all the posh new "retirement apartment" they've built where there were once lovely huge old houses, most of em still in great nick, but the land is worth more to developers...shame....
  • 126 Cambridge Road because sum rich lad lives there egg it demolish it do whatever you want with it. His mum is a Vicar so don't curse the house , lol
  • Every identical shoebox mini-estate of houses or flats built in Birkdale every time one of the fine Victorian houses gets pulled down. The Baths. The Ocean Plaza (They've not even finished building it yet and it looks foul). That funny round thing at the end of the Marine Lake footbridge where the indoor model railway used to be. Asda.
  • I think you mean buildings.
  • southport itself we start building something and the company goes bust so i say newk the town and start again
  • Demolish Wetherspoons, it is the most dull pub in the world...
  • Ocean Plaza!!!!!( or the iron frame of it that is rusting on the coast).
  • The G-Spot
  • Dukes House
  • southport station and the town hall with the mayor in it
  • the cinima its an eye saw
  • the bliss!talk about a dive wiv power-trippin bouncers!
  • Smack head central formerly known as Royal Terrace
  • Southport generally - its absolutely cak.
  • The golden goose / floral hall / southport theatre complex - woeful architecture! The Pavilion Buildings above the old House of Holland. I went for an interview there once in 1986 and this guy said "have you got a calculator?" and I said "yes" and offered it to him, and he said "I just wanted to know". Loony?
  • The whole sea-front, its crap!
  • Christ the King RC High on Stamford Road. Enema spot if there ever was one.
  • The fair
  • the train station cos it smells funny!
  • All of it. Do the world a favour. Nuke the bloody lot.
  • the bingo, keep the old peole at bay.
  • In response to the section under the above I couldn't help notice that you would like to see Southport fair demolished; not only that but demolished with all the SCOUSERS in. I being a born and bred Liverpool citizen am most digusted by your comment, although its supposed to be a fun thing I can take a joke as well as the next person until someone thinks they have the right to dicriminate were I come from. I am erging you to change this at once because how would you like us here in Liverpool to wish to demolish a building with you stuck up knobheads from Southport in. Not nice is it when people discriminate against you when they don't even know you. If this is not altered you leave me no option but to take this further.
  • McDonalds, so that gangs of 13 year olds carn't hang around it, thinking there hard
  • The gas tower
  • The Palace Cinema.
  • Kingswood School, Kingsway and the Tesco
  • The fountain on Lord Street has been demolished - now we've just got a building site instead
  • B & M Bargains - lookes an eyesore on the beautiful Lord Street
