The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
  • I love scousers, the scally buggers, but sum ov em r arseholes havin said that where doesnt have the occasional w*nker, jus cos liverpools got a higher % ov people born with an anger management problem an a problem with takin a joke or anythin else for that matter, doesnt mean that theyre all bad people. so chill peeps cant we all jus get along. ALSO i dont think ppl in southport are snobs, most of them are nice, down-to-earth people although there is the good amount of stuck up d*cks.
  • more sk8 shops man!!!!!!!!!
  • roberta lees is not a tranny bar i am an entertainer and thank you for telling people that there are loads of women in there i am eternally greatfull yours roberta lee the site is great and a wicked sense of humour comes through i love being sinicle its my kind of humour i have laughed so much at some of the coments i knowhere to go yours roberta lee
  • It's not that bad. Sort of like a cross between Livepool and Backpool. It has its shops, its tourists but if OAPS aint your thing then stay away from the beach.
  • The best bar of anyone's youth in the 1970's: Maxime's.
  • Vote for the Southport Party - you're being brainwashed by everyone else...
  • Southport to Liverpool is a 40 minute train ride
  • RU, he wont fit in here, he's massive!
  • THE FACTS THAT EVERTONIANS R ALL OVER THE TOWNIE MAKES ME SMILE
  • The 'Scals' are fucking assholes and should be banned from Southport... they are so bloody annoying... I've seen more talented things come out of my ass and thats not very talented....
  • There are lots of volunteer organisations around doing good in the community.
  • moaning bastards with a chip on their shoulder bigger than their IQ????
  • in your list of shops in southport you list competitive edge having shut down and then a few lines later you list it again as the best clothes shop in the town, the later is correct, but us guys at competitive edge would appreciate you deleting our name from the bit that says closed down, packed up and called it a day. It was Politix manswear which packed up. also for any skaters out there you may be interested that from the end of August we will be the new stockists of Stussy for the area. Cheers
  • HELP save teh southport scene, save the ghetoo quarter attitude, build ramps anywhere outv anything, new spots catch on fast and are much cooler!!
  • its crap but i cudnt live n e were else.
  • Southport would be a great town if our hard earned tax money wasn't wasted on the doleys in bootle.
  • Bit of history= the sea used to reach Lord Street
  • skatepark. no doubt work faster please
  • Errrrrr..... Lidl get rid proper
  • PLEASE REMOVE THE TITLE THAT SOUTHPORT IS IN THE COUNTY OFMERSEYSIDE. THIS ADMINISTRATITIVE COUNTY HAS BEEN DEFUNCT FROM 1986. TO MOST SANDGROUNDERS, MERSEYSIDE IS AN OFFENSIVE TERM (AS IS SEFTON) WE ARE IN LANCASHIRE - WE DIDN'T WANT TO BE FORCED OUT BACK IN 1974 & WE WANT IT BACK ON ADDRESS NOW ! JUST AS OUR OTHER GOOD FREINDS IN ST.HELENS DO. THIS IS NOT BEING ANTI-SCOUSE.....LIVERPOOL IS IN LANCASHIRE TOO !!
  • Whats going on with the whole Southport Vs Liverpool thing? I've never experienced or heard of any problems with anyone! It's the people (from BOTH s'port and L'pool)who go out looking for trouble who p*ss me off. I think it's got a lot to do with stereotypes and misjudgements ie Scousers steal and people from Southport (no-one actually uses the term sandgrounders you know!)are all stuck up. If you actually look through the pre-judgement and see the person instead of where they live or where they grew up everyone would get on a whole lot better! and another thing - why all the comparisons to liverpool? How on earth can you compare a SEASIDE TOWN to a CITY???????????????????????? Think about it!
  • I am reading and reading and all I read are scousers putting down southport on the southport site.....so shallow and week minded these people must be and what crap is that about new car in the drive no meat on the table?! And as for kids vandalising everything in sight how about this....I was in crosby a few months a go where I saw a rubbish bin set a light "just for fun" so b4 you scousers go tripping over your mouths about us folk in southport why don't you sort your own back yard out. Tiffany Walsh, sunburst53@hotmail.com
  • The Beatles did twelve gigs in the town in the early sixties
  • just wwanting to update!! colleseum closed yeeeears ago, and that paint job by my brother at west end was painted over a good while ago. tossers. anywho! cool site.
  • Southport really is the epitemy of sadness.
  • The big issue seller outside Marks and Spencer is a cool dude!! Dig his accent!!
  • non!
  • Be prepared for a lengthy treck if you want a paddle in the sea. A pair of binoculars might help in locating the sea.
  • The bit you've got on your site about my brother, Kristjan Zadziuk. he did used to be a welsh basketball player but NOW my friend, yes NOW...he's an animator working for hothouse animations in bristol, doing the likes of who wants to be a millionaire? and gangsters and gangsters2. so now you know! plus steve gerrard has apparantly moved into those expensive apartments opposite the marine lake worth over £1,000,000...
  • The town is full of smackheads, they need cleaning up
  • I think all this slaging off of scousers should stop right now all my family are from liverpool and they are the best people in the world.
  • the Traumatizer
  • Southport has exported its sand to Arab countries in the middle east. Honest! The sand dunes are the only surviving habitat of the natterjack toad in Britain.
  • Has the tide ever been "in"? Southport's the only "seaside" resort where it's a two hour hike from the promenade to find the sea (six miles out). According to the Liverpool Daily Post recently, Southport Local Government staff have the worst sickness record in the UK, so the "unlimited ozone" and "bracing sea air" hasn't been a lot of help. They're probably sick of the town.
  • oh and southport is near liverpool, (30min on the train)
  • Firstly I'd like to advise you to run a spell check before you display your web pages. Secondly I'd like to say that Liverpool may not have a fair but it has a damn site more going for it than the town 'Southport'. Just to mention a few, we have three professional football teams two in the Premier League. Then there is the Cathedrals, Albert Dock and Beatles tour just to name a few, which are major tourist attractions in Liverpool. While on the conversation Liverpool is the home to many groups, but one most world famous do I need to name it, yes for you small minded people it's THE BEATLES.
  • I WOULD DISAGREE TO THE STATEMENT THAT SOUTHPORT IS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER RESORT IT MAY BE GETTING BETTER BUT IT DOES NOT COMPARE WITH BLACKPOOL IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM.....
  • Southport is light years ahead of what it used to be. And light years ahead of many other "resorts".
  • Ignoring all else in this site...Southport is ok, wedged between Preston, Manchester and Liverpool it still manages to remain the way all residents old and new prefer.. quiet, clean, INDEPENDANT and ?? well...er...
  • Pleasureland - They are starting to improve it - they've got a new white knuckle ride - Chaos! - and another massive rollercoaster opening in spring 1999!
  • Southport is a holiday resort but also a conference centre we went for our communications conference in May 1998l and stayed at a B/B family run Hotel, called the Victorian Hotel they made us very welcome and very reasonable l would recomend it.
