- the horseshoe pub, wedgewood rooms, pyramids, guildhall, your spoilt for choice really in southsea.
- Edge of the Wedge cafe bar - variety of music events most evenings, including open mic/acoustic nights. Some pre-club music to set the mood if you're going on to the Wedgewood Rooms next door. (see also Food).

- Docs at The Horseshoe pub on Elm Grove holds host to some interesting local bands sometimes. It's on the corner by the roundabout nearest the Student's Union, and is ONLY JUST in Southsea.
- Wedgewood Rooms. Cracking place. Hosted Oasis when small and still do a fine
line in up-and-coming bands, comedy, spoken word, movies, club nights, etc.
On Albert Road, as are all good things in Southsea.
- Punk and rock and metal nights once a month
- The Wedgewood rooms on Albert Road host many bands and acts, Rosie's Wine Bar is also good on a Sunday, when they have live Jazz!
