You can tell us more about Southsea.

Pubs
  • havana bar near palmerston road.mellow music and people.no towny fighting here.
  • the horseshoe
  • Portsmouth and Southsea has quite a large and outgoinf gay scene, which is quite unusual for a Naval town! The staff at 'Hampshire Boulevard' are very friendly and 'Martha's' has just has a re-furb and is equally great, but don't waste your time and money at 'The Old Vic', where you'll be served with attitude and no manners (especially by some bald old Queen)! 'The Elms' is also quite a friendly and well run venue and is fab for afternoon drinking as it's off of the beaten track of Commercial Road and St. Paul's Road and quite a Southsea destination in Elm Grove. Hope to see you there! Mine's a pint!
  • Havana - kent road. (bbq on sundays) Emptifish on the seafront opposite the pyramids is great during the summer.
  • Most of the customers in the India Arms and the Registry can't see over the bar not that i'm suggesting anything!
  • The one by victoria grove where sexy people go.
  • Decent beer (Gales HSB) only at the three marines on Highland Road, and The fifth hants, albert road
  • Sur La Mer - They do wicked jugs of Pimms & Mexican mix's.
  • Loads, again. Fuzz and Firkin's pretty good, and the Wine Vaults.
  • 8 pubs all have good night life
  • One thing Southsea can be proud of are pubs, clubs and restaurants! Pubs range from the small locals (a good friendly one is the Coastguard Tavern on Granada Road) through the standard-issue pubs (see the Jolly Sailor on the sea-front), novelty pubs (see the Fuzz 'n' Firkin at the end of Albert Road), tourist pubs (see the Still & West in Old Portsmouth) through to Wine bars (a particularly good one is Steinbecks in Stanley Street).
