Record Shops
- boom hound is rad in albert rd...just down from bored.
- reflex records in albert road, or AJs a few doors up. really cheap, but u hav to spend a while looking thru the cds in AJs
- Groovefinder Records on Albert Road, www.groovefinder.co.uk
- Ross records-buy, sell, exchange etc.
- Oops, sorry, when I said "Ross records on Albert Road", I actually meant "Reflex Records on Albert Road"! That'll be the one you're looking for... lots of cheap 60s, 70s and 80s vinyl plus tons of new releases.
Ross Records exists up in North End and sells mostly cheap, knocked off second hand CDs. It's worth a visit if you want to buy Oasis CDs or the Pet Shop Boys greatest hits for a fiver, I suppose. I can't understand how I got the two mixed up.
- Ross Records on Albert Road is quite good. Sells a lot of interesting (and also rather tacky) second hand vinyl, plus a lot of new stuff as well at cheap prices. Worth a look, but don't make a special journey to see it for God's sake. It's not THAT good.
- Reflex and some other miscellaneous places on Albert Road. Sadly Scallywags
went belly-up last year.
- Other than the usual WH Smith in Palmerston Road, there are record shops opposite Waitrose (in the main shopping precinct) and down Albert Road.
