The Worst Things in Southsea, Hampshire*

• The parking!! The beach - filthy!!!
• parking/bad people intent on fighting in town.
• the townie gangs

• Sailors, townies, not enough decent venues for clubs and too many 'fun pubs'. Turning The Grand into Route 66 was the worst idea anyone has ever had.
• the amount of townies around and getting chucked off of hot-spots for sk8ing
• rabid tinpot local councillors
• New traffic light system at Victoria Retail Park roundabout. The local female drivers (beat london taxi's everytime).
• The navy pubs. Usually obvious from the amount of patriotic flags hung up upside. Avoid like the plague (unless you're in the navy, of course, in which case go ahead). They don't like darn strangers. Portsmouth and Southsea as a region has officially the highest percentage of mentally ill people of in Britain. It's also the most densely populated region in Europe. Can be a bit suffocating if you actually live there. The skinhead population. There is a real BNP revival going on in this area at the moment, despite the fact that the ethnic minority population is tiny. The male to female population ratio is 4:1 (though this could be a very good thing if you're female, I suppose). Fawcett Road looks shit, is full of useless junk stores, empty buildings, dodgy cafes, rubbish sacks and peculiar smells. For Christ's sake someone, do something with this useless waste of space.
• The beach is stoney and the water a health hazard.
• Local ruffians. Tacky tourist traps and end-of-pier style entertainments. Long way from a decent airport.
• NOT MANY PEOPLE,LOLLYPOP LADY
