- there a busker who plays blues with backing tracks and an electric guitar which is quite fun
- Ray with his big blue guitar. He'll hassle you for a fiver but at least then he buggers off to the co-op to get some cider and you get some peace while he sleeps in the park off truro road with all the other tramps that st austell can't be bothered to help

- there are a lot of shabby people in st austell. also you get to see a lot of over weight bleach blond girls who think they are dead fit. when really they just look like slappers.
- Snake boots, wears boots made out of snake skin, walks with a big cane, and a cowboy jacket, also some old guy who walk's around wearing demin hotpant's and a undone white jacket kinda thing
- AN AUSTRALIAN GUY USED TO BUSK IN TOWN HES REALLY FRIENDLY AND A GOOD GUITARIST SAWHIM YEATERDAY AND THINK HES MARRIED OR HAS GOT A GF

- hehe me and my boyfriend went to newquey recently and he sang with a busker - a really nice newquey dude, great fella : ) if u want the local characters journey out to truro lol ...see for urself!

PC Stone - most people from St Austell thought he was our only policeman. To me, he still is.
- A bearded Tramp called Redge who can usually be found drinking his much loved White lightening in the park/cemetry near to the train station.
- Adrian and Emma are the local characters. They just pop up all over the town when u least expect it. Always say hi to them.
- the only eccentrics in st austell are those released from local mental homes because of budget cutbacks

- Arthur, the cat who sleeps in whsmiths and the travel agents opposite
- Annoying things, luckily due to the poor state of the town centre these are a rare species.

- the guy outside boots who rips off stereophonic hits. (he aint poor, he can afford a jag (i've seen him in it), and he's playing a flash guitar). & fat guy with a dog, who sells big issue (he's the big issue)
- The long haired guy does a wicked rendition of Bob Dylan's "Hurricaine"
- The pasty man retired sevral years ago.
- Bald bloke opp WH SMith (by Trim the fruit shop) Beardy bloke (with dog) outside Boots Give em a copper or two, they're there everyday, and add some cheer to the town
- Always a few in fore street - one guy and his dog, another guy opposite WH Smiths - chuck them a few bob ..
- No no no no no no no! Someone please keep Patrick away.
- There was the old chap who used to sell pasties on Saturdays but I think he's gone now.
- Always busking in the high street, usually a short bald guy, don't know his name!
