- the station (new pub), queens head, o callaghans, white hart, holmbush, harbourside, rashleigh, western, seven stars, brit.
- the Brit the only place to be on a fri or sat night!attracts a young lively crowd with the disco/bar atmosphere
- seven stars is good now give it a go.
- HARBOURSIDE INN , VERY LIVELY ON THE WEEKEND.
THE BRIT..THE PLACE TO GO ON THE WEEKEND.DISCO EVERY FRI AND SAT.CAN GET VERY BUSY..BAR STAFF ARE GREAT THO.
HOLMBUSH ...SLOWLY DYING.LOST PART OF ENTERTAINMENT LICENCE.DUE TO VIOLENCE AND DISORDER AND BEING KNOWHERE FOR PEOPLE TO GO AFTER PUB CLOSING.PEOPLE ONLY GO THERE ON A SUNDAY FOR KARIOKE.

- NEW BAR AT CHARLESTOWN-HARBOURSIDE INN..VERY LIVELY MODERN BAR
- the britannia inn best for atmosphere on weekends, gives u that pr-club bar feel...but uve gotta go newquay if ya wanna go clubbing..but the brit dont close up til at least midnight.
o'callaghans , irish themed pub good music open til midnight.
sandy pub n holmbush starting to loose the punters ...go quit on weekends now!
- In the good old days - 'twas the Rashliegh. Then came along Phil (you know who you are) and the Brit became the place to be. Somehow.
- Best pub in town is The Bush. Rock on with Adrian and Emma at Karaoke on Sunday nights.
- O'callaghans is the only pub worth visiting, possibly the duke of cornwll in mount charles aswell.
- Holmbush got to be!
- If u want a pub crawl theres loads on the circle aroung the church, for entertainmen go to the britt and the holmbush on the out skirts of town.
- giant jenga in o'Callaghans
- The Rashleigh, Charlestown.. My partner and i have recently moved to Wales. He worked in the Rasheligh for a short spell and by God, was he glad to leave when the Teletubbies took over. I don't think they like skinny girls behind the bar. When we left they were phasing them out. The poor staff (at least those not related to the present Landlord/Landlady) are treated with disdain. did you know they even barred the fishermen from The Ship Inn at Meva? I mean, come on, it's a fishing village!!!! When we last went in the Rashliegh it was like a morgue. No-one seems to smile anymore. The food just is not very nice. Charlestown is a beautiful port. I grew up in St Austell, had great summers going down to the beach, and looked forward to going into the Rashliegh. Only in the past year did I start do do that.....was a disappointment it ended up.
- RASHLEIGH in Charlestown.Warning...It has changed hands in mid summer 2002.
We used this pub a lot and did not know it had changed owenership.
The food used to be the best, happy staff, great pub.I thought some thing was amiss when my starter of whitebait arrived,it was about a third of the size when I last visited the place. All the portions were a lot less, and I do not consider the place GOOD value for money anymore. The food was OK but lacking in ammount. For the rest of our stay we went to the Pier House Hotel which is owned by the owners who used to own the Rashleigh and by god it shows.Great food ,friendly staff, good value for money.{Get there early or you wont get in.]
As far as the Rashleigh is concerned COME BACK MR MORCOMBE the old owner!!!!!
- Got A Bar Stool Over me Head In The General Wolfe
- The place everyone seems to go at the moment is the Britannia Inn at the bottom of Lodge Hill, St Blazey. Holmbush seems to be alot quiter now.
- the holmbush, o callaghans
- Re the Rashleigh Inn, Charlestown. We were there last week and found rather unfrienly, the bar staff couldn't have cared less about serving our drink and the manageress of the restaurant, when asked for a table for two promised to update us on the table situation within fifteen minutes and when asked after twenty minutes what the situation was rattled that we had asked. We then went on to the Pier Hotel, Charlestown and had a wonderful meal and great service - odd because I understand that they are owned by the same people/organisation!!
- Sandy pub is good. Bethel social club is much better.
- Homebush - THE pub to go to if you want a good time, if your under 30!
- Holmbush is Ok
- The Carlyon Arms, known as the Sandy, its on Sandy Hill. entertainment on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
- It has got to be the Duke in Mount Charlse
- POLGOOTH INN - NO PROMISES BUT AT LEAST IT STILL QUALIFIES AS A REAL PUB.
- Trevor and Sue Atkins are no longer connected with the Seven Stars Inn in St Austell, having
moved on to manage a B&B near London. Please delete my earlier reference to the Seven
Stars Inn.
- holmbush
- would recommend the seven stars, o'callaghans (irish theme pub)and the stag, for atmosphere and good old expensive cornish beerrumour
- Rashleigh (Charlestown) Britannia (The Brit) on by-pass at bottom of St Blazey Hill Holmbush (Kevbush) bypass near Tesco Town pubs have all gone down hill a bit Mock Irish O Callaghans Queens Head - now does breakfast 8pm????? Best laugh - Seven Stars (Sevens)
- The Holmbush Inn, a popular pub, but extrememly busy on a friday or saturday evening, sadly it is not as good as the popularity would imply. People tend to go because it's where everyone elso goes.
- Queens Head, Fore Street.
- General Wolfe, - Live Bands
- The Rashleigh, Charlestown (Nearest to Gossips)
- The Holmbush Inn is probably the best pub and can be packed up on a Friday night. Although it's a little out of town the Holmbush serves a good variety of ales and lager and the food is just the best in town. The worst pubs have got to be the General Wolfe or the Stag.
Courtesy buses to the club from these pubs (except General Wolfe)
- I want to tell you about two nice hard working people who have just returned to Cornwall and opened or reopened the Seven Stars Inn, 1, East Hill, St Austell. We knew Trevor and Sue Atkins on the Costa del Sol over the course of two years when they operated a pub called The Cornishman. They are the greatest of hosts. Everyone was made to feel welcome. English, Australians, Canadians, even this American and his wife. Fuengerola's loss is St Austell's gain.
