- Seriously lacking. Too many sports shops for all the townies and unemployed who spend all day sat on the benches in the town centre but try to look wealthy by buying matching tracksuit tops and bottoms, and just look generally rough. Try saving your money and geting a job instead. Sorry, that was a bit off the subject, but as said lacking in any tasteful shops, tho TK Maxx is great for the bargain hunter

BUT KEEP YOURE EYES OPEN IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ALTERNATIVE FASHIONS AS THERE ARE SEVERAL NEW MARKET STALLS COMING UP FOR CHEAP STUFF SO YOU WONT HAVE TO GO TO MANCHESTER OR LIVERPOOL FOR ALL YOUR WIERD NEEDS!

- £4.60 gets a return ticket to chester. thats were you find the good shops
- St Helens - sponsored by Burtons. You couldn't get into most town centre pubs in St Helens without wearing the latest fashion designs courtesy of Mr Burton. You'd get into the pub and find 3 other sad blokes wearing the very same top they bought earlier that day.

I got my first ever pair of jeans from Tesco in Bridge Street (yes, there actually was one - opposite the Nelson).
