- the friends meeting house (next to the pub over the road from B&M) not only is it a prety building but it is the oldest building in the town centre. the friends meeting house owned all the land in which the town stands (the owner was George Shaw), and eventualy the the land was sold off to buissness men due to them being in need of the money. untill al the land was sold and buissnes where built. eventually making the town which we have today.

- That new multi storey in whiston that looks like a cage. It's a dump. Although brand new it competes with many buildings in Skelmersdale. That is something to boast about.

- The architecture on the buildings in the centre of town (Town Hall, Town Library and the one opposite) are quite nice. But you'd have to be strange to care. Probably Beechams is the only landmark worth shaking a stick at.

- MY FAVE BUILDING IS THE TOILETS OUTSIDE OF ST HELENS COLLEGE AS THEY ARE NOW A WILDLIFE SANCTUARY. A BREEDING PLACE FOR SMALL MAMMALS AND BEASTS LIVING WITHIN IDEAL CONDITIONS. tHEY ALSO HAVE A DELIGHTFUL SMELL, AND THEY DONT HAVE THE CRUNCHING TRACING PAPER BOG ROLL ANY MORE.

- The old Gas Showrooms Building - does anyone remember the globe which used to sit over the main entrance? The glass globe disappeared years ago but the frame remained for a while - is it still there? Whilst waiting at the entrance to Helena House, I once tried to judge its size by comparison with other objects around - I failed.
Pilks old head office (now an apartment building) opposite Safeway Petrol Station. I saw a photo of it inside back in the 50's when my mum worked there - a model of early 20th Century office design.

- The Co-Op, now sadly Wilkinsons stands in its place. My mum and Dad met at the Co-Op, the classic 1950's Dance venue.
- St Thomas Square now that it has been demolished.
- Crematorium. and the well in the cemetary. Not to forget the 14th century ruin also in the cemetary. Mushrooms are there.
- The best building in St Helens is Knowsley Road, the home ground of St Helens rugby league club. The club was one of the founder members of the Northern Union (i.e. the breakaway from Rugby Union) and contested the first ever rugby league Challenge Cup Final. Similarly, the club were the first team to win Super League and also contested the first ever World Club Challenge. A historic organisation.
- I like the Pilks head office on Prescot Road.I Like the old cafe in Victoria Park which looks like a stately home.I Think Nexus is a good building and i also like the Chalon Court Hotel inside.I wish we still had the FLEECE pub, I was very young when it got demolished but that was my first pub i went in as a teenager and I really like it.Taylor Park Duck pond and the long walk around it.
- Gone! covered market wrought ironwork, industrial redbrick CO-OP and old Pilks offices, HALF the Woolworths M&S frontage, the elementary school by Beechams.... You name it, the council will approve demolition and give planning permission for a car park, concrete bunker or rubble garden instead.
